Jisoo came into work the next day in a dark blue pantsuit and the same white blouse as yesterday because she was broke. Jennie was sitting at her desk, typing away with a hand to her head.

"Do you have a headache?"

"Yes." She didn't glance at Jisoo. Jisoo went and got a Tylenol and some water. She brought the water to Jennie. The brunette took the tablet and drank the water. Jisoo stood next to her and tried not to pay attention to what she had been thinking the night before.

It was easy enough when Jennie planned something else to kill Jisoo.

She smiled sweetly at Jisoo. Oh no...

"Jisoo...you probably didn't know this and Rosé doesn't either. I usually tell my secretaries." She hit her forehead lightly. "But I forgot with you." She handed Jisoo her cup of water.

"I usually take my water at 68 degrees Fahrenheit."

"What?" Jisoo raised her eyebrows. "You like your water at a specific temperature?"

Nevermind that Jisoo didn't know that Jennie spent all night trying to find a temperature that wouldn't burn her tongue or give her a cold.

The brunette kept the same smile and said, "Do you want to practice?"

"Actually, I—"

"I think you need practice." Jennie answered for her.

Jisoo kept up her serene smile. And looked at the mug. Then back at Jennie and sighed. "I will be right on it ma'am."

She went out the door and sat in her seat. She placed the mug in the center of her desk and crossed her arms. She swore that if she looked at it any harder, the white mug would break.

She sighed and went back to the stationary store.

When she entered, the owner looked at her with a smile and waved. She went to the back and found a small thermometer. The raven came up to checkout and pulled out her wallet just as the owner asked, "What does your child do that you need to come here everyday?"

Jisoo froze and her face heated up. "N-no! No! No! I...I don't have kids!"

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I just assumed—"

Jisoo held up her hand. "This is for my boss. I'm a secretary and—"

"You work for Kim Jennie?"

"How did you know?" Jisoo narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"I heard horror stories from her previous secretaries. No one has lasted longer than 2 weeks or so. How long have you been working for her?"

"Almost 2 weeks."

The owner shook his head and packed her stuff. "Good luck." Jisoo paid for it and went back to her desk. She wasn't going to dwell on the owner's ominous warning.

She poured out the water in the mug, filled up new water, heated it up and then put the thermometer in to check.

Rosé walked over and saw Jisoo bent over forwards with her head resting on her forearms staring at a mug.

"Jisoo?"

Jisoo looked up. She felt like crying. "Can I have a hug?" She immediately asked Rosé. The raven held her arms wide. Rosé's eyes widened and she gently pulled her in for a hug. "What happened?"

"She's horrible! She makes me do ridiculous things! Half the time I'm losing my mind!"

Rosé didn't have to ask to know who she was referring to. Although their affair happened 5 years ago, Rosé thought it was bit unfair that Jisoo didn't remember Jennie. Lisa told her Jisoo had been a player and she dated girls endlessly before she moved abroad.

A small part of her was happy Jennie's revenge was working out well. But she wouldn't admit that to the arrogant brunette.

She patted Jisoo's back. "There. There. I did hear you screaming you head out yesterday."

Jisoo chuckled. She pulled away with a step back. "I didn't think it was that loud."

"Everyone thought it was a loud group of birds."

Jisoo wanted to die. The raven chuckled awkwardly, "Well...I need to get this ready for Jennie." She turned back to the mug and....

NO! IT'S AT 65 DEGREES!

Jisoo quickly dumped the water out, filled it up again and heated it up. She leaned her head against the microwave.

She took it out and the cycle continued. Rosé patted her head and walked away. Jisoo felt a song come to mind.

Alone again....naturally.

..........

After an hour, she quickly ran to Jennie's office before it became cold.

She placed it on the desk and smiled at Jennie. Jennie looked at the cup and took out a thermometer from her other drawer. She looked at Jisoo and placed it in the mug. Then she checked it and Jisoo closed her eyes. I can't watch this!

"You...You did it..." Jennie said bewildered. Jisoo's eyes shot open. "You're joking!" She shouted.

She came around the desk and crouched next to Jennie as she looked at the thermometer. 68 degrees Fahrenheit! "Ha! I did it!"

Jennie turned her face to Jisoo who was smiling widely while lifting her head up and giggling excitedly. Her eyes closed into crescent moons and she kept clapping her hands.

She's so beautiful....

Jennie started to reach out to touch her and her eyes drifted to her engagement ring. She dropped her hand and looked away. She had to put some distance between them.

"Jisoo...you can go home early."

Jisoo stood up straight and frowned at her. "Why? Is everything alright?"

"Leave." Jennie bit off. She turned back to her desk and continued working.

Jisoo bowed and left the office. She sat her desk and sighed. She looked at the thermometer and tape measure on her desk. She played with it and couldn't get the feeling that something was wrong.

The Jennie she had met on the brunette's engagement was flustered and serious. The Jennie outside the raven's hotel room was amusing and serious. The Jennie at work was....god, she was something else....more frustrating, irritating....

She leaned back in her seat as she recalled the night before.

Beautiful.
