Kagami sat silently on the floor of the conference room with her back pressed against the table that held Hatter's body. Her father disappeared as quickly as he had appeared and Kagami was left wondering if she really was losing her mind or not. But given the world that they had found themselves in, maybe he really was a ghost. But, if that were true, why would the ghost of her father come back to help her? Out of all of the siblings, he cared for her the least. Especially when compared to her two older brothers: Daiki, who had become a higher up member of the Yakuza since leaving high school and Hachi, who was the splitting image of her father. Kagami couldn't help but shudder at the thought of Hachi. He was one of Niragi's main bullies back when they attended school together and really put him through hell. In fact, Niragi's tongue piercing was done himself after Hachi gave him two options: pierce his own tongue or eat rice with urine mixed in with it. Hachi really was a sick bastard... just like his father.

....

"Awwh, look at him, he's gonna cry." The voice was well known to fifteen year old Namika Kagami as she stalked furiously across the cafeteria floor towards the commotion with her food tray in hand. Clearly whatever was happening had been going on for quite some time before Namika had entered the cafeteria. She had actually been late due to looking for Niragi who she was supposed to have met up with for their own private lunch together. But Niragi didn't show and Namika didn't need to think or look too hard to work out what exactly had happened.

Already a crowd had formed around the group of thugs and their victim and all it took was Namika to clear her throat for part of the crowd to move aside to let her walk through. At this shithole of a school the Kagami siblings all held a high reputation, just none of them good reputations. In the middle of the crowd was her oldest brother Hachi Kagami standing over Suguru Niragi, the boy that she had a complicated relationship with and now felt responsible for. Hachi was of course surrounded by his friends and took no notice of his little sister watching him until she picked up the carton of milk on her tray and threw it as hard as she could at Hachi's back, the contents spraying all over his school jacket in the process. The once jeering crowd grew silent and all eyes were now on Namika.

"Let him go." Namika said loudly as Hachi rose slowly.

They both knew that Hachi was going to be in for the beating of a lifetime when their father saw what had been done to his jacket and that was exactly her intention. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Daiki had also moved through the crowd with some of his friends. Out of both of her brothers, Daiki was definitely the one that people were more afraid of, just like Namika, he had run away from home and was living with the family of one of his friends that held ties to the Yakuza. Namika however, well the family she was living with was Suguru Niragi's. They had been in a secret relationship for a little over a year now mostly due to the fact Namika thought Hachi might straight up kill him if he found out about it. Namika's eyes fell onto Niragi for only a moment. She hated the fact that out of all the guys that attended the school it was nerdy, cowardly Niragi that she formed feelings for and her reputation would be ruined if word got out about them. But yet, here she was, ready to defend him.

"Namika, when are you coming home?" Hachi asked with a mocking smile and once again drawing his little sister's attention. "Dad misses you."

Namika said nothing back to her brother and instead walked straight over to Niragi and looked down at him. He was still on his knees trembling and had rice and bits of other food in his hair and all over his clothes. But there was something very wrong that Namika picked up straight away: he wouldn't look at her.

"Niragi, stand up." Namika said, her words not meaning to come across as blunt, but she had no choice if she was going to keep their secret. Niragi shook his head and continued to look down and it was then she noticed the blood on the tiles... and the three or so nails. "What did you do, Hachi?" Namika didn't bother to look over her shoulder at her brother who immediately started laughing along with his other moronic friends and the crowd grew suspiciously quiet. "What did you do?" This time Namika yelled at the top of her lungs, her words bouncing off of the walls of the cafeteria and her brother's laugh came to an end.
