To Change or Not to Change

As the lights went out, Kagami took the opportunity to pull the gun back and instead headbutt Niragi's chin, causing him to give out a sharp cry and shove her back away from him.

"Nobody shoot!" He shouted as the backup lights came back on and the surrounding militant members all lowered their guns and Niragi flashed her a grin as blood ran down his chin. "This isn't playing nice." He grinned with his back still against the wall as Kagami held her head. Now she really had a headache.

"You lost the playing nice privilege as soon as Usagi touched that bed." Kagami growled, moving her hand up to slap Niragi across the face only for him to catch her hand and spin them around so that it was her pressed against the wall instead.

"So you can fuck someone else but I can't?" Niragi asked, shifting his head down to run his tongue along her neck before he stopped at her ear, "That seems unfair."

"You can fuck someone else, you just can't rape them, Suguru. I don't know how that doesn't make sense in your fucking head!?" Kagami exclaimed pushing back against Niragi who simply pushed her back and wrapped his spare hand around her throat. It wasn't tight enough to cut off her breathing but it was enough to keep her in place.

"Who the fuck cares? There's no laws here. Why do you think rape, arson and murder are all against the law, huh?" Niragi asked and Kagami shook her head at him,

"Because it's wrong." She replied as if the answer was obvious. Niragi simply chuckled in response.

"No, because it's all in our nature. Left to our own devices Humans will rape, steal and kill each other because that's what we're all about." Niragi told her, his face moving down so that they were eye to eye. "It's a waste of deny our basic instinct, don't you think, Namika? I mean, it's inside of us all. Even you." He told her. "I gave you the chance to play nice but you decided not to. So, instead, you and I are going to explore these instincts together, sound fair?" He asked, dragging Kagami over to the bed and throwing her on it before climbing on top of her. As a couple of the men moved to hold her down the same way they had Usagi, Niragi shot them a foul look, "Don't touch her. She's mine." He snapped.

Niragi pinned her hands either side of her head and placing almost all of his weight on Kagami's hips to stop her from kicking him off. Kagami however couldn't help but laugh which caused Niragi to freeze and frown at her in confusion. Clearly it wasn't the reaction he had expected from her.

"Awh, look at the poor man: Strangling me didn't work, Getting Aguni to order me to work with the militant corp with you as my boss didn't work, Blackmail didn't work, Using Usagi against me didn't work. So this is the new strategy huh? Rape? Let's face it Suguru, there's nothing you can do that will break me. Nothing." Kagami laughed hysterically, "So I win. I fucking win and this little game of yours is all over so do what you want with me. Chishiya and Kuina are gone. Usagi will be gone so there's no one left for you to hurt to get to me. The funniest thing about all of this is that if you would have cared this much about losing me before I broke things off with you I wouldn't have ever left. All you had to do was treat me the way you did when we first got together but you're too stupid to realize it and yes, I am a pretty shitty girlfriend and I don't trust you. But I am still a better Human being than you. So, do what you want. Whatever little bit of power you had over me was crushed when you hurt Usagi. You don't have anything over me anymore." Kagami wore a wide grin as she spoke.

She felt unhinged in a way she hadn't felt since she had killed her father when she was 17 years old. Something had snapped within her and even Niragi could see it. Just as Niragi opened his mouth to speak, they all heard a familiar noise that brought them back into the present and reminded them of what they were doing in this world.
