Kagami's eyes lingered on Chishiya's face for a few seconds before she stepped away from him. Her chances of laying low were more than likely well over and she couldn't help but question whether Chishiya had kissed her in front of Niragi on purpose or not. Kagami was definitely going to die now. That was probably enough for Niragi to hate her. Given her history with Chishiya, Kagami knew betraying people to get what he wants wasn't exactly unheard of for the blonde. It would be a smart move to get rid of her, especially while they were so close to the end of the plan. In fact, if that was the plan, Kagami would actually be impressed. It was a good plan.

"Shuntaro..." She began in a low tone, her eyes locking onto Chishiya's as she spoke. "Did you know Suguru was standing there?" She asked her question in a calm and concise tone. There was only one way to know the truth and Kagami figured it was worth asking. She trusted Chishiya, didn't she?

"I did. But that isn't why I kissed you." Was the response she got back. "It doesn't matter anyway, we're out of here. Niragi can do what he wants. He's not our problem anymore and if he tries anything, I'll kill him." Chishiya's eyes stayed locked onto hers. Eye contact was a good indicator on whether or not someone was telling the truth. But, in Chishiya's case, Kagami couldn't tell if he was lying or not. Almost as if Chishiya could read her mind, he spoke once more. "Do you think I'm going to betray you?" He asked. Kagami tilted her head and gave it some thought before she spoke.

"I mean, part of me does." She replied. "Surely my usefulness is running thin now that I don't have a scary fiancé to do what I want or status as an executive. I would get rid of me if I were you. Less people to get in the way." The more she spoke, the more Chishiya's brow furrowed as he listened to her.

"I'm not 'getting rid of you', Namika." Chishiya near deadpanned. "Why would I get rid of someone that I like? Do you really think so little of me or is this just what you're used to?" He asked her softly.

Both questions threw Kagami off for different reasons. Firstly, she never expected Chishiya to truly like her in any sort of capacity. Even with the multiple kisses and the sex, Kagami had never actually stopped to think about what they were to each other. Chishiya certainly wasn't her boyfriend by any means and after the drama with Niragi, Kagami wasn't sure she wanted another relationship. But, she wouldn't call him a rebound either. There was something about Chishiya that just drew her in and she genuinely liked him. She just didn't know how she liked him.

As for the second part of Chishiya's question, Kagami knew wholeheartedly that the answer was that she expected Chishiya to act a certain way based on what she was used to. Kagami was from a rough and very poor neighborhood and in fact, she was pretty sure that if this was the real world, Chishiya and Kagami would have never even spoken, let alone do the things they have done. Growing up in that kind of environment, as well as being raised with a monster for a father, taught Kagami that trust was a fool's game.

Kagami hadn't even trusted Niragi which truthfully was the underlying cause of most of their problems. Niragi could never understand or accept Kagami's need to have everyone at arms length and for so long Kagami blamed him for it. She saw her actions as justified given her history with her family. Niragi had been telling Kagami for years that she was a cynic and had trust issues. But for the first time, as she stood in front of Chishiya, she wondered if Niragi was right.

"I like you, Chishiya, I do. Don't take it personally, I just like to be prepared for the worst." Kagami shrugged, "But good to know you aren't planning anything." She mused, averting her eyes. That was one handy trick she had learnt from her childhood. If you don't want to lie, avoid the question. Kagami paused for only a moment before she turned on her heel and began to walk away.

"I think we should stay together." Chishiya said after her. Kagami stopped in her tracks and sighed lightly before she turned to face him. She was rather looking forward to working on her own self-awareness.
