6:30 pm Singhania mansion

The cold breeze touched her bare arms as a shiver ran down her spine. Looking up at the sky she saw dark gray clouds ready to burst out.

Inaya was roaming around in the huge lawn outside the house while thinking about what happened in the past week. Just a week ago she was in udaipur with Sanya and now she is married to Aditya. Her life took a while 360 degree turn but she was just fine with it. The only thing that she was nervous about was the case, but she kept her trust on Aditya for it. She believed he would win it for her.

Although it was cold outside she kept walking around in the lawn somewhere waiting for him. Just as she took another step forward a water droplet fell on her head and it started raining instantly.

She took hurried steps towards the entrance of the house. Although only a little amount of her kurta got wet, but she had to change it.

Going upstairs she changed her clothes and came out wearing warm pajamas with a fluffy jumper. Just then a house helper, mrs sharma came inside the room.

"Ma'am your coffee."

Inaya gestured her to keep it on table.

"Thank you" she went out closing the door as Inaya sat on the bed and covered herself with the blanket. The weather was perfect for a good sleep but she had to edit the video she had to post.

She was uploading something on youtube after almost three weeks. Finishing the coffee she put the cup down on the side table as it made a sound in between the heavy rainfall she could hear from outside.

Clicking on the upload button she closed the laptop and got fully inside the bed but just as she layed down, her phone started ringing.

It displayed kavita aunty's number and she instantly swiped green for the face time.

"Hi didi" Sanya said as soon as she swiped green.

"How are you?" Inaya asked her as she analysed her face. Red puffy face with swollen eyes. She was definately crying.

"Have you been crying Sanya?" Just as she asked her, Sanya's tears came out and she started sobbing.

"I miss you" she mumbled while wiping her tears as Inaya also felt her eyes getting watery.

"I miss you too baby.'' Just like that their conversation went on for almost two hours. She talked to everyone in the orphanage and told them that she would visit them soon.

After cutting the call, Inaya decided to sleep for sometime. It was still raining outside and the atmosphere was telling her to have a good nap, so she got under the covers and closed her eyes going off to sleep.

10:45 pm Singhania and associates

Aditya was in the conference room while the new interns were conducting a moot court for their internship programme. His company gave placements to students every year and moot courts are conducted as per the programme, something Aditya actively participated in while he was studying in England.

Kartik entered the room and without disturbing the students he went towards aditya.

"Sir, Giridhar Kapoor is here to meet you."

He finished as Aditya looked unfazed and said.

"Throw him out"

"Sir.."

Kartik stopped making him understand the situation as Aditya mumbled a curse word before standing up and leaving towards his cabin.

"Send him in" He said while sitting on his chair. Giridhar Kapoor. Fucking bastard. He knew the reason why the old leech was in his office at this hour. He would try to negotiate for the fucking case. An idiot, he thought.

Just then Giridhar Kapoor entered inside with a disgusting smirk on his face. Walking inside he took large steps towards the couch and sat there with a thud.

"Aditya, it's so nice to see you son. I'm hurt you didn't even invite me to your wedding."

He spoke while twisting the paper weight.

"I don't have time for your bullshit. Come to the point or get out."

Aditya said while looking dead in his eyes. Giridhar Kapoor looked up and walked up to his table sitting down in front of him.

"Withdraw from the case." He spoke while Aditya looked sat there looking through the case file and without sparing him a glance said "get out''.

"All this for that girl Singhania. You think you can defeat me. I'll make sure to destroy that orphanage and that little bitc-"

Just before he could say something further aditya's hand was wrapped around his fat neck as he struggled to break free.

"You're talking about my wife, you bastard."

His veins thickening out of his arm, the shirt rolled up and his hair messy because of running his hand through them. Giridhar Kapoor found it difficult to breathe and just as he was running out of breadth Aditya removed his hand from his neck causing the old man to fall down.

He looked at him while he snapped for air and slowly stood up only to run out of the cabin.

................................

Inaya woke up from her sleep with the loud thundering outside. The room was dark as she looked outside to see it still raining. Switching on the table lamp she looked at the clock.

12:45am, she slept of for five hours straight. Aditya was still not home. Putting aside the disappointment she stood up and decided to walk down to the kitchen to have her dinner.

Looking through the fridge, there was nothing for her to eat so she decided to cook something.

Chopping the vegetables she prepared aalo and gobhi with some rotis. Just as she was stirring the dal pot the bell rang. She walked hurriedly towards the door peeking through the window and saw Aditya standing there.

She opened the door and he walked inside. Walking straight to the couch he sat throwing his coat on the floor. She narrowed her eyes at the thrown blazer befor bending down to pick it up.

"You change. I'll set up the table" He simply hummed as she walked to the kitchen before keeping his coat neatly on the couch and started setting up the dining table. Fifteen minutes passed and he still did not come. Deciding to check on him she walked back to the living room only to see him busy on his phone.

"Aditya, go change and have dinner. You can do this later."

He looked up from the screen and lazyly stood up walking towards the dining table and sat down waiting for her to serve him.

She plated the food and both started eating in silence. The thunderstorm still very much active outside while in the silence they could only here the fast moving wind outside.
