The rain cascaded down from the windows as Aditya took another puff from his cigar. Thoughts clogging up his mind as he watched the rain pour down heavily.

Monsoons in Mumbai were not very pleasent, and Aditya hated every bit of it. But with his mind filled with commotion, he liked the voice of rain that helped him calm his senses for a while.

He closed his eyes as he remembered the talk with his parents just before coming here. The news was now spread all across the country, and his father had asked him about that.

But before he could say a word his mother had cried and hugged him while telling him how happy the news made her. Not giving a chance she had dashed to his grandmother's room giving her the news.

And just for her sake he agreed with them. His Dadi asked for Inaya's picture and that fucked up the situation for him even more. Since then till the time of his flight she had ranted about how happy she was and how beautiful Inaya looked in all the pictures.

While he was just blankly staring at the bright laptop's screen a knock on his office door broke him out of his thoughts.

"Sir Inaya ma'am is here. She wishes to meet you."

Aditya looked up from his laptop and removed his spectacles keeping them on the table. He nodded and turned his attention back to the laptop.

...................................

Inaya stood nervously outside his cabin door. She knew that only Aditya would be able to help her but somewhere she was contemplating coming here.

She stepped inside as kartik opened the door for her. Aditya looked up from the blank screen as he heard the voice of the door.

There she stood, dressed in her white suit looking every bit of beautiful. Inaya shifted uncomfortable under his gaze as Aditya decided to break the silence.

"Come sit."

His voice was dominating and powerful and Inaya felt shivers all over her body. Taking a seat infront of his table she looked around nervously.

Aditya looked at her and spoke after a few moments.

"I know what happened at the airport. You don't have to worry, the matter has been looked after."

She figited with her fingers before gulping down her saliva and looking up meeting his intense gaze.

"Umm..yeah thanks for that...but I am here for something else."

She spoke, taking pauses in between but not breaking the eye contact with him. He nodded and gestured her to speak further.

"You kown Giridhar Kapoor? Actually the place where I live in originally belonged to him....but the land was sold off. But Now he has taken away the property papers and is claiming to own the land...I came here to ask for your help umm...because he is a very influential person so....ah.. I mean I think only you can help us."

She finished telling him all the details while he kept listening patiently. Inaya looked away and silently prayed for him to agree.

There was complete silence for a long moment and Inaya felt uncomfortable being in the room. She somewhere felt annoyed with the fact that he was not saying anything.

"I have a condition."

He stated after a long pause as Inaya looked at him in confusion. Condition? What could be his condition. Not extra money for sure, this man owns companies all across the world, he could not go around asking for a hefty amount from a woman who is asking for his help. she wondered.

"What condition?"

Aditya looked at Inaya gazing deeply into her eyes making her body heated up. He saw her shifting around looking anywhere but his eyes. His lips curled up in a light smirk seeing her getting nervous under his gaze.

"Marry me"

Inaya looked up from the ground with widened eyes as she felt at loss a of words. What was he even saying. Marrying him just because she wants his help?

"What?" She said in disbelief.

He didn't say anything just looked at her while she stood up from her chair.

"What kind of condition is this Mr Singhania? Why would you say something like that?"

"Do you have someone else in your life?" And she instantly denied but it doesn't mean that she will agree to marry him.

"So I don't see a problem. I am giving you a week's time. You can give your answer anyday in this week."

..................................

It has been three days and Inaya's head was bursting with all kinds of thoughts. At some point she was thinking about his offer because no matter at what cost she swore to protect the orphanage.

But again marriage was not a game for her. It's a decision that would affect her whole life. This was not a contract she was Signing just for sometime but her whole life depended on it.

Just as she was busy in her thoughts a knock was heard from her door. She opened it and saw kalpana aunty standing there with a tensed face.

"In..inaya" she said, her breathing was uneven as she pointed towards the lawn. Inaya rushed out and as she was nearing the door she heard commotion from outside. Stepping outside the wind blew her long hair as the clouds thundered as she was met with a horrifying sight.

A big buldozer stood at the entrance of the orphanage which had already crushed the main gate. All the male elders were trying to stop them when the driver came outside slamming the door.

He said something as she saw all their faces go pale and she understood what she had to do in that exact moment. She rushed back in collecting her cars keys and hurriedly drove off to the Singhania and associates.

...................................

Aditya was in his office working on a case file when someone barged inside his cabin. Looking up for the intruder he saw Inaya standing there with red teary eyes, her clothes wrinkled and her dupatta weirdly wrapped around her shoulder.

He stood up and took hurried steps towards her when she spoke with desperation.

"I'm ready" he walked further to hold her when she weakly added.

"I'm...I'm ready. Please help me...just" and she broke down crying as Aditya pulled her towards him and wrapped his arms around her. She clutched his shirt tightly, her body shook as she cried her heart out.

He tightened his arms around her and gently patted her head. And the way she held him for support he made a promise to protect her forever.
