Inaya walked through the corridors of the orphanage with huge carton boxes in her hands trying to balance herself properly while nearing the store room.

The inaugural of the new orphanage building was being held in a day's time and she had taken up the whole responsibility as a gesture of love towards the children and somewhere, in her subconscious because she wanted to take her mind off Aditya.

Her mother in law did call her a few times in the past week while she returned the calls but there was no mention of Aditya. Sumitra aunty could feel inaya avoiding conversations involving Aditya so she refrained herself from mentioning his name, insuring not to upset inaya or make her uncomfortable.

She kept the carton boxes on the ground placing her hands on her waist as she let out loud breaths.

".....finally.." walking into the kitchen she filled a glass with cold fresh water gulping it down as relief passed through her body, the scorching heat of Mumbai not helping either.

Closing the door of the store room she dusted off her clothes and walked towards her room. As she sat on the bed her first instance was to look at her phone subconsciously hoping for a call or a message from Aditya but these were none.

A defeated sigh left her mouth but she immediately kept the phone away, tapping her face multiple time as if slapping herself for thinking about him.

But her heart did hurt from this. His lack of interest and the inability to even call her for once. How could he not bother but again did she want him to? Ofcourse she did. She wanted him to come to her, run behind her, cry and ask for forgiveness but at the same time she craved for her space to get her mind together but then why was she missing him? Why was she mad at the fact that he did not even call her for once in these days? She didn't know.

She looked out of the window and saw the children playing around. A soft smile adorned her face as she saw Aryan running towards the slide.

Looking at his face she recalled the first time she met Aditya. He had come to meet her regarding the video that surfaced and she had been there with Aryan. The little one even got scared of his huge bodyguards.

He was just two years old that time. Now he had just celebrated his third birthday a month ago. A year had passed to the day they first met.

Few months ago she had been so happy to celebrate their anniversary but after what happened in the past months she could just think of what has gone wrong. How had their relationship worsened instead of becoming stronger.

A drop of water on her face broke her out of her thoughts. She looked outside and saw heavy rainfall surfacing the entire area. Quickly closing the window she looked around the bed to see if any water has stained the bed. Wiping the edge of the bedsheet she stood up to throw the tissue paper in the dustbin when she heard her phone ringing.

Thinking that it was from Sanya she picked it up without looking at the caller id.

"Hello Sanya, did you-"

"Inaya..." She instantly stopped speaking hearing aditya's voice. It was as if time had stopped. Tears immediately stung her eyes as she heard his hoarse voice. Her mouth opened to let out words but nothing came out of it.

"Inaya" she heard him call out her name once again but words just didn't seem to come out of her mouth. The loud voice of the thunderstrike from outside broke her chain of thoughts. She could hear his breathing from the other side of the phone.

"Aditya........" She spoke after a long pause. Her heart beating loudly, palms sweating, eyes stinging with tears as she let out his name in the midst of chaos inside her mind.
