It was night time, Inaya was standing in the garden while everyone was inside already asleep. The wierd feeling inside her chest did not stop the whole time since Aditya had shown up.

The chunni she was wearing blew with the course of the wind, she wrapped her arms around her body to, perhaps warm herself. The warmth being a metaphor to fight with the loneliness she felt inside her heart since the past months.

Her heart, had been crushed by Aditya several times, but there have been moments filled with love, care, affection, worry, intimacy. She could feel herself on the brink of another breakdown but she knew better than to do it at the moment when she was not home.

Home? That is if she ever had a home. Did she? She did not know as of now.

The swing beside her creaked with a loud noise as the clouds thundered above her, wrapping her in a world full of sadness and destress.

The little drop of water that fell on her cheek did not compel her to move inside, rather she found herself walking away from the little shelter that the rooftop of the house provided her with, walking into the cold ground filled with grass while the showers poured down from the sky.

Within a few seconds of standing under the heavy rain she found herself wet from head to toe, yet she did not dare to take a step towards the entrance. She walked ahead and stood far away from the building letting the rain pour down her head, not worrying to wipe away the water running down her cheeks, camouflaging with the rain drops. It didn't matter if it was the rain or her tears, she did not know herself. But she was just thankful for not being in a situation to care about them.

The lightening striked in the sky as the clouds thundered, she found her white anarkali sticking to her body like skin but she awfully felt good. This felt good.

As she let the rain wet her while body a hand around her arm pulled her closer  as she winced at the harshness of the tight grip around her wrist.

"What do you think you are doing here?"

Aditya's loud voice boomed in her ears as she looked at him through her wet lashes. His grip around her wrist was still strong while she stood there staring at him.

"Leave me" she struggled to keep her voice steady while trying to pull away. The sudden gush of cold that passed through her spine didn't matter at the moment when all she wanted was to be away from him.

"You need to be inside. Come let's go" his voice was heavy and she tried not to think about it.

Her frustration grew as he ignored her words and pulled her inside.

"Leave me, what is your problem--just let me be, I will-"

Before she could continue she was picked up like a bride. He started walking back inside not caring about her wetting his crisp white shirt and ironed black blazer. She wiggled around in his arms trying to get back into her feet, kicking and moving around so he could somehow drop her and let her be.

"Leave me!" Her loud voice refused to reach his ears as he continued walking inside and walked through the corridors to reach their room. His classic once shiny shoes, now covered in water made the floor creak with each step that he took towards the door.

The building was awfully quite, considering it was half past one and everyone was already asleep. The whole corridor rang with silence and the sound of his shoes clicking with the floor made the tension thick than it already was.

Once inside he placed her on the floor and onto her feet and closed the door with soft click, Inaya felt her breath going uneven as she looked up to meet his sharp eyes. It was almost as if he was controlling himself from bursting out.
