"Finally, we're here!" I parked my car outside the huge manor. It was a beautiful house but definitely something out of a horror movie. It didn't help that it was in the woods and the sun was setting. A purple and pink sky illuminated behind the house which gave it an uneasy feeling. We got out of the car and put our gear on which consisted of a go-pro on our chest and one that was attached to a rod which was attached to a helmet so we could get live face reactions.
I started up the camera and we approached the manor.
"This place looks terrifying." Muttered Riley looking up at the dark bricked house.
"How much a night on air b&b?! Damn this place looks fancy!" Spencer told the group half joking. Riley looked at Spencer with a crazed look.
"You're crazy." Riley laughed.
"Are we ready?" I asked the group.
"No-"
"Yes-"
"You people." I sighed as we opened the wooden door. The place was old and run down but it was sturdy enough to stand up. We walked in and bat's immediately flew around us. I spun around to try and not get hit.
"Careful bat!" Riley chuckled holding the flashlight.
"What room are we going to first?" Spencer asked.
"Kitchen?" He asked for our approval.
"I've got nothing against it." I told them.
"Do you have anything for it?" Spencer questioned with a laugh.
"Ermgm, not really." I groggled. I heard them both start laughing.
"The fuck was that noise?!" Spencer gasped between laughter.
"Don't question me! I'm just trying to not get possessed!"
"Shit- I left the holy water in your car." Riley panicked. At that moment there were a bunch of crackling noises throughout the house and it got strangely cooler. "Na, fuck this!" He Squeaked out with fear.
"Riley I think we will be okay."
"Yeah, Bat's right. Its was probably just a gust of wind." Concluded Spencer, he was really sure of himself. It made sense though all of the windows in this house were open.
We made our way to the old kitchen with our flashlights the only thing lighting the room.
"If there is anyone here with us right now let your presence be known." Riley spoke up then the three of us stayed quiet.
Nothing happened.
"I think we should bring it out." Smiled Riley knowing that me and Spencer both hate what he's talking about. Me and Spencer groaned at the same time.
"I hate that fucking box." I hissed feeling something pull at the camera and I almost dropped it but thankfully I was able to keep my hold on it.
"I don't think the ghost liked it either." Teased Spencer.
"Did you mean to do that?" Asked a panicked Riley.
"No, but if that's the worst they can do I'm sure we will be fine." I told them. I wasn't scared of ghosts or demon, I knew they could never truly hurt someone.
We got the spirit box out of Riley's bag and turned it on. The sound of static that was pulsing immediately filled the room causing me and Spencer to groan at the noise.
"Let's try this again, is there anyone here who would like to talk to us?" Riley looked around the room. The box sputtered random nonsense before we got a clear "Get Out". The three of us looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Why should we get out?" I taunted the spirit.
"Not- safe- coming- soon." It spat out clearly not getting all of its words out. This is the most words we have gotten out of the spirit box which concerned me and Riley.
"What time of entity are you?" Questioned the skeptic.
"Ghost-"
"At least it's friendly." I proposed with a shrug.
"I have a bad feeling about this."
"You have a bad feeling about all the places we go to." Spencer brought up.
"Let's go to another room." I said and waited for them to pack up the spirit box and leave the room, thankful that the annoying noise was finally put to a stop.
"Over here should be the gaming room which is said to have three people murdered because the guy was robbed of his money playing poker." Riley explains to us and the camera.
"I would hate to get murdered after winning money." Spencer huffed out amused.
"Actually though. That must've been annoying for whoever lived here, bringing the property value down." I joked out.
"Anyone here?" Riley asked and there was a gust of wind.
"The demons are angry." Spencer said with amusement.
We walked around a few more rooms which was just overall a creepy experience and really making me wish I had my holy water. We made our way to the main living room which was said to be the most haunted room in the house. People had said that the demons would scratch them and give them massive headaches. Normally I wouldn't believe those stories and I would just think that it was their imagination but this house was different. It didn't make me or Riley feel any better knowing that because this was the cleanest room in the house so we knew this was where we would be staying the night.
Once again Riley asked "Is there anything or anyone here with us?" It was quiet, not a single sound came from the house and the only thing I could hear was our breathing and a slight ringing in my ears from all the concerts I have been to over the years. We stayed silent for a few more minutes before deciding that we should set up camp for the night. We went to the car and got our things then headed back to the living room.
"Ready for bed?" Spencer asked us. I was tired but I could tell that Riley was going to be up all night. I turned the camera off and we all sat in a circle discussing what we would do for breakfast the next day. At that moment I felt a burning sensation on my chest.
Riley was the first to double over in pain. Then me, the camera was ripped from my hands as me and Riley whimpered in agony. It was the worst pain I had ever felt.
"Guys come on this isn't a funny bit!" Spencer called out scared. I could barely hear his voice as the ringing got louder and louder. I covered my ears and forced my eyes shut as I laid on my side because my gear wouldn't let me do anything else. I could only assume Riley had done the same. I then heard Spencer fall to the floor with a yelp but I couldn't bring myself to look. It was all to much.
Should've fucking listened to that dumb fucking box! I swore in my head. Then the darkness from behind my eyes were flashing with a white light and the pain grew more until suddenly it stopped and I could suddenly feel how wet I was. I stood up first looking around at the fact that we were no longer in that house but in the middle of a town with a fountain behind me and people swarming the streets. Though it was raining you could tell that it was day. The two boys on the ground also stood up and observed their surroundings.
"I don't think we are in Kansas anymore." Joked Spencer to which me and Riley looked at him like he was crazy.
"Bitch."
