I waited for Aether to go back to the others before I walked up to the door and knocked, getting no response. I tried again and sighed.
"Dew?" I called out a little panicked, getting no answer.
I walked back down to the Ghouls and sighed "do any of you have a hair pin so I can unlock his door?"
Cirrus nodded "yeah give me a second." She ran down the hallway and I walked back to Dew's room.
She gave me the pin and I nodded to her in thanks using it to unlock the door. I pushed it open and sighed when I saw dew asleep on the floor with the empty bottle next to him. I walked in and shook his shoulder slightly.
"Hey Dew. Wake up." I spoke softly.
"Hmmm, let me sleep." He slurred.
"Let's get into bed and then I'll let you sleep, okay?" I asked.
He tried to get up off the floor and I tried to support him but couldn't.
"Aeth I need your help!" I called out.
"What's up?" Aether asked, appearing in the doorway.
"Let's move him to the bed." I said.
Aether nodded and grabbed Dew from me, hoisting him up onto the bed.
"I'm going to go get him water." Aether said and left without another word.
I sighed and took off his mask, laying it down on the bedside table next to him. I used my fingers to brush out his hair.
"You are so stupid." I mumbled looking at the sleeping ghoul.
Aether came back with water and I thanked him and closed the door behind him when he left. I sighed and grabbed a blanket that was laying around and a throw pillow that was given by the ministry but he clearly never used. I laid everything on the rug he was asleep on and took my slippers off laying down and drifting to sleep. I wanted to stay there just in case something happened.
I had woken up slightly to movement but had fallen quickly back to sleep. I didn't realize that in the middle of the night he woke up to puke but when he was done put me in his bed. Dew settled down next to me and turned his back to me just in case I had woken up before him.
I open my eyes and fully awake this time raising my eyebrows on how I got off the floor.
"Are you awake?" Dew asked quietly, putting his book down looking up at me from the chair he was sitting on across the room.
"Kinda." I mumbled stretching. "How did I get up here?" I asked.
"I moved you when I woke up in the middle of the night to puke." He said looking down at his hands "I didn't want you waking up in pain from sleeping on the floor. Why did you come back here to help me?"
"Because I might be mad at you but I don't want you to do anything stupid that will hurt you or the others." I explained.
"Everything I did, I did to hurt myself, (y/n)." He said sadly.
"What do you mean?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"This whole mess might get me sent back to the pit if I get expelled from the ghost project." He explained.
"What?" I asked.
"The ghost project...it's a band that spreads the word of Satan. I'm the lead guitarist." He explained, talking with his hands.
I nodded his fear making sense now. I looked at all the guitars mounted next to me on the wall. I looked around taking in more of the room, the red Christmas lights around the ceiling, all the band posters on his wall, the messy dresser spewing with clothes, the bookshelves of books and albums he had collected.
"Why are they going to expel you?" I questioned .
