The Summoning (Dewdrop x Reader)

New Friends?

  "Where is everyone else?" I asked Violet as we sat down for lunch.

   "They should be coming soon." Dew spoke up for her then went back to picking at his food. "What does sister Imperator want you to get for her?" He then turned to her.

   "No idea what it is." Violet shrugged then pulled out the paper that Sister Imperator had given her. I watched as she unfolded it looking on. "We have to go to this shop in town, I'm sure the workers there will know what this is."

   "You are taking her into town?" Dew asked, placing his fork down looking at the pair.

    "Yeah, why?" Violet said, giving him a look as if he were dumb. "That is if she wants to come.I'm sure you would like to get some things to have while you stay here." Violet finished her sentence looking over at me.

   "I'll go with you. Why is it a concern?" I asked, looking Dew in the eyes. I surprised myself with the words that came out of my mouth to the fire ghoul.

   "Uh-" Dew started to say while nervously rubbing the back of his neck nervously "No, but I kinda wanted to spend time with you and get to know you." He finished kinda shyly. My eyes went wide at his shyness. That's not how I would expect him to act.

   Violet let out a loud laugh and said "The notoriously upfront and extroverted Dewdrop ghoul is nervous over a weak human. How cute!"

   "She's not weak." Dew growled glaring at Violet.

   What is happening?

   "She's messing with you. Why don't you come with us? We can go get whatever Sister Imperator needs and then we can all go shopping." I said placing a hand on the table.

   "You're okay with that?" Dew asked calming down some.

   "Yeah, of course ."Violet spoke to the ghoul.

    "I want to go into the record store if that's okay with you." Dew said in between bites of food.

   "Yeah we can do that. I want to get some clothes and maybe some accessories and a few books too. If I'm going to be stuck here, better make the most out of it right?" I said looking at Violet.

   "Exactly, gotta work with what you have." Violet said. "I'll ask Sister Imperator to give you some money so you can get what you need.

   Dew kept unsettlingly quiet for the rest of the time we were eating. I didn't think much of it but violet's face showed she was worried but didn't want to push it. The three of us finished our plates and got up to get ready to leave for town, with a quick stop to get money from sister Imperator (which made me feel like a child asking her mother for money.). Violet and I went to our room to grab our bags and Dew went to get his jacket and wallet. The three of us met at the front of the ministry.

    "Ready to go?" Dew asked both Violet and I, humming in return.

   The three of us set off to our first destination to get whatever it was. I walked in between Violet and Dew, the two were having a conversation as I quietly searched my surroundings not realizing they were talking about me and the curiosity I was showing in the little town. Violet had walked in front of me grabbing the door to go in, Dew who was behind me taking it and holding it open for me.

   "Thanks  homie." I said smiling at him walking into the store. He gave a confused look at the name.

    "Any time?" He replied following behind Violet and I.

   Dew and I followed her around like two lost puppies, nothing in this store holding out interest.  We made it to the back where a young woman stood with long blonde hair. She looked like a hippie and a psychic.

   "What can I do for you three?" She asked as she hung dried flowers from a hook on the ceiling.

   "I need this." Violet told the girl, and handed her the paper. The blonde's eyes went wide.

   "I can make this for you but it may take a bit."

   Violet then turned to us. "You guys can go shopping, I'll wait here."

   "You sure?" I asked.

   "Positive. I'll walk you guys out." She smiled as we walked to the front of the store. Dew once again held the door open for us.

    "Cut the gentlemen act Dew." Violet said with a smirk standing outside the store.

    "Never." Dew retorted with an eye roll.

    "Be careful you love birds." Violet teased leaving before Dew or I could argue her claim.

    " Whatever. Clothes first?" I asked dew.

   "That's all up to you to lead the way." He said jokingly holding his arm out to me. I wrapped my arm in his as we continued to walk towards the clothing store laughing along the way.
