New Habits

I begrudgingly awoke the next day as I saw the light flood the room. I placed my feet to the ground and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes looking over at Violet, who was just waking up as well.

"How'd you sleep?" She asked. Even when she had just woken up her voice sounded perfect.

"I've slept worse, so." I groggily spoke. When I finally stood up I realized how disgusting I must've looked because I slept in my bloody clothes.

"I'll ask Sister Imperator for some clothes for you." Violet smiled at me to which I thanked her as she walked out of the room.

I looked around the room more then I did yesterday to just get a better feel of things. In all honesty for all the places we could've ended up by falling through some demon portal, this place wasn't to bad.

"I'm back!" Violet called out walking back into the room with clothes in her hand. "I know it's probably not your usual style but if you're gonna stay here you gotta wear it. You get used to it, don't worry." She laughed and I kindly accepted the habit from her hands.

"Yeah, this will definitely be interesting. I don't have to tuck all my hair into the hat right?" I asked and I could already tell that it sounded like a dumb question. It didn't help when she let out a little giggle.

"No, you can leave your hair down." I felt my face go warm with embarrassment. "Also if you want to shower you can. The shampoo and stuff is supplied by the church."

"Oh okay, thank you." I walked into the bathroom and set the clothes on the counter. I stepped into the shower after I stripped down.

The warm water ran down my body as I looked at the healing scratches on my chest. Not even twenty four hours ago I would have no idea that I would be at some demon church.

I got out of the shower and quickly dried off before putting on the outfit in front of me. I wiped away the condensation on the mirror so I could get a better look of myself. I looked fine in the outfit itself but you could tell how little sleep I had gotten. Having my overnight bag would be nice right now but of course it just had to be in that car.

My fucking car. I didn't have anything I own anymore. Everything I have is at home, I left it all. I have no laptop, no makeup, Hair care, clothes and everything that I've ever loved. I was beginning to miss the things that I used to hate, like that dumb church we would go too to get holy water for Riley. I didn't like Father Thomas all that much but I swear I would do anything right now to see his dumb bald head.

I gave a deep sigh and ran my hands under cold water. I placed my now freezing hands onto my face in hopes to wake me up just a bit. I walked out of the bathroom and into the shared dorm to find Violet sitting on her bed.

"Wow, you look great!" She exclaimed while also clapping her hands. I looked down at my outfit and thought that she must've needed glasses. Definitely not something I would wear on my own time.

"I look stupid." I huffed out, walking over to my bed to grab my shoes.

"Don't say that, it will grow on you, I'm sure." She insisted. I didn't believe her but I just nodded as I finished tying my boots. "Hungry?" She asked me as I stood up straight. To be honest I wasn't all that hungry but I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday.

"Uh, just a bit."

"Great, let's go to breakfast. I'm sure your friends will be there as well." She said, I already knew that they probably wouldn't be at breakfast. Not for any reason other then that they will definitely still be sleeping.

Violet walked to the door to which I followed. The walk there was quiet as we were both still tired from just waking up.

The cafeteria was full of people which surprised me because it was so early. It was even more surprising that Spencer and Riley were over at a table eating already. Riley's back was to me but when Spencer waved me over he turned around and smiled. I could tell that they also had new clothes to change into and it didn't help that Riley's clothes were far to big for him.
