Chapter 5:Dinner

I woke up early went towards ummu and Abu's room and greeted them then I went downstairs to Adda as usual we gisted and set the table together I went back up to call everyone downstairs . Breakfast was fun and lively as usual with Fauzan making most of the noise and talk.

Time flies by so fast it was already 7:30pm

That's when I heard a car pull up in front of our house

I stood up and rushed into  the bathroom to wash my face and wear my hijab before coming down just to meet everyone present in the sitting room waiting for me

AsslamuAlaikum I said with my head a bit low

Waalaikumussalam everyone chorused

Come sit close to me Hajiya Maimu who happens to be yusrah mom said

Toh Aunty I said

How are you ? yusrah asked while hugging me

Am fine you I said

Alhamdulillah she said

.....

Why don't we all head to the dinning room and eat please ummu said

Fine ok we all said

Everyone sat down as Adda nannie served us all

We all eat in complete silence
...yusrah dad was the first to break the silence

Sir I am honored to have this dinner with you in your house and your beloved wife and daughter but please I didn't quite get what you were saying on the phone if I may ask please what did you say!? He said

Dad laughed and said no need to be formal with me Alhaji Adam and it's my pleasure too I called you and requested the presence of your wife and daughter so we had talk regarding your daughter school

My daughter... Alhaji Adam said

Yes although I won't be the one speaking it will be my daughter bahija

Now everyone eyes were on me even yusrah none of us had  a phone yet I would have called her to tell her what  was going on

Thank you for coming I started I just wanted to make an official statement to my best friend dad I said getting up from where I was sitted to where yusrah dad was and squatted down just for him to see how serious i was regarding yussy's education

Please let yusrah continue schooling with me you don't have to worry about the fees we will pay more than half just say yes pleasee

This I said looking at my outfit hmmm its nothing dad just say yes please i pleaded whilst rubbing my two palms together

Alhaji please its okay inshaAllah we will be able to take care of yusrah future expenses if we join both hands togeher and now God has sent us an opportunity why not we make use of it please think of it  Hajiya maimuna said

Hajiya yes indeed it is a good opportunity but i don't want a situation where by our daughter will be a huge burden to alhaji muhammad family ,shes our responsibility to take care of not theirs so i am not really sure on this gaskiya haba the sum of 120 thousand per term is no joke although the education is worth the sum of fees

Haba Alhaji ,why say such we are one fah dont forget you are my childhood friend we did the same primary school and everything our parents were close friends so are our wives now same goes to our children why say such???? Yes yes yes!!! I jumped up jubilating alongside dancing forgetting the presence of everyone

I slightly bowed down my head feeling a little bit slightly embarrassed as i make my way unto my seat

Everyone burst out into a fitful laughter :)....

 I gently tapped Yusrah's lap giving her a reasurring smile.

It was already past 9 and Yusrah's parent were about to go home everyone came down to the parking lot to see them leave including Aamna who i thought was already fast sleep
