The prom night

Choices school (9th Grade prom night):

i looked at myself one last time before heading out of my room making my way down the stairs when all of a sudden my phone began to ring. I had it at my hand so i smiled quickly slide up answering the phone call and placing it on my ear as i  continued walking down the stairs.

Where are you!...Cat screams literally over the phone

coming i simply said back

Khairy, I'm the only one here and to be honest with you I'm so LONELY that i just got myself a corner at the farthest table by the end to sit She said pouting and emphasising on the word LONELY for me to hear .I know cat she's just bored i haven't arrived that's all and nothing much

I giggled out loud finally dropping my feet in the living room and taking a look at the duo (Hadiza and Dad) sitting across me on a couch before hanging up the call

Coming in the next 15 mins i said before hanging up the call

I slide up my phone looking for Jeff contact to quickly call him so he could drop me off at school

Your prom starts by 5pm now and ends by 9pm..so when do you plan on coming back home? He asked

Depends i simply said lifting my face to view his for a minute before going back to calling Jeff's contact

Another question was thrown at me but I was at the middle of the phone  call that I couldn't reply until I was done

Aren't you getting late she asked

Don't act like you're bothered miss,please can't you just learn how to stay away from matters that don't involve you. I mean I've told you severally not to meddle in my affairs but you just can't! I said slightly raising my voice a bit in annoyance

Khairat!Dad said slightly raising his voice at me .

Never ever speak to her like that in my presence. If you  can't respect having her as a mother respect her as my wife that is if you have any respect left for me as your father

That's all he does everyday raising and shouting at the top of his voice...I mean he must be dealing with sore throat one of this day I thought inwardly

*sigh* I left out a scoff rolling my eyes past the duo .Just in time Jeff came and stood by the door mat waiting for me

Well, if that's all I'll be leaving and Dad too much of shouting isn't good for the health you know that besides you're 47 and struggling with your health issues  so please watch and take good care of your health I said making my way out of the house

I arrived at the gate of choices school and the exterior decoration was just amazing .I called cat few minutes who when I was almost close to the school's gate to accompany me in ,well as usual I meet that sweet person standing and holding so much of excitement in her upon seeing me

Wow! I let out a gasp upon seeing the interior decorations

I know right Cat squealed holding my hands tight and accompanying me towards the crowd
