Ayaan had rushed inside the building and the staff, along with visitors stared at his desperate figure in concern. Ayaan took his rushed steps toward the floor, which he had walked thousands of times over the past two months.
It was unbelievable. He never thought that he would come across Shona again in his life. And hours he had spent cursing himself for being the reason behind her unconscious state. He wanted her back. He wanted to listen to that melodious voice again. The only person that ever succeeded in gaining a place in his heart.
"How is she?" Ayaan was almost out of his breath as he reached the door. At that exact moment, Suhana pushed open the door.
Suhana stared at Ayaan with concern. His feature screamed that he hadn't wasted a minute after her call. "She had gained consciousness..." Ayaan had a grin on his face as he sighed in relief. Finally! His wait was over.
"She wants to meet Karthik..." Suhana frowned, "she kept blabbering his name when she opened her eyes and it seemed like she almost had a panic attack. I had provided her with an injection and she will be asleep for a few hours, she needs the rest." Suhana assured Ayaan the matter wasn't worse but he couldn't calm his senses.
"Was she afraid? Scared? As if someone was going to harm her?" Ayaan inquired, Suhana considered his question, her mind recollecting the moment.
"She seemed defensive as if preparing herself to attack someone." Suhana muttered, "but I can't assure you that maybe she was scared of something bad happening to the Karthik."
"Or maybe that Karthik was going to harm her."
"What do you mean?" Suhana stared at Ayaan with interest. "Why your confident accusation is claiming that you're aware of some..." she kept it incomplete though her orbs were fixed on Ayaan searching for answers.
Ayaan ignored her words moving inside the room. He needed to assure his heart that Shona was fine.
