Shona re-read her written words as she folded the paper and put it below the mattress. She wasn't planning Ayaan to read those words. She lay down on the bed staring at her white ceiling, a sweet smile playing on her lips.
Shona was always the most observing human, only at moment her feeling overpowered her intuition as it was in the case of her family but her guts never allowed her to trust Karthik. And her heart was screaming to her that Suhana was into Ayaan for years. The way her orbs sparkled at the slight mention of his name was an indicator of her feelings for him yet Suhana felt that Ayaan had a thing for Shona.
Shona groaned at the thought, they hardly knew each other to develop feelings. According to Shona, Ayaan was a nice guy to assure her that she was worthy and not annoying. She smiled at the thought, maybe it was time to stop troubling him with her letters and start building a place for Suhana in his heart.

A frown developed on Ayaan's face as it was three days in a row that he hadn't found a single letter. "Had she stopped writing letters?" He didn't appreciate that thought as he walked out of the room given to her in the mansion.
Ayaan was glad to know that Suhana had somehow convinced her to stay in a mansion even after Ayaan's hostile behavior towards Shona. He was convinced that she won't ever agree about the matter but Suhana always managed to make things work for Ayaan. A hint of a smile reached his lip, he was blessed to have someone like Suhana in his life.
And latterly Shona was making it more obvious though they hardly glanced in each other direction still he heard her blabbers revolving around the mansion. Suhana was in Shona's tongue 24/7. Ayaan for a minute had got annoyed by the way Shona was worshiping Suhana.
Shona was much like a bundle of joy in his silent-cold mansion. The walls that had gotten used to overbearing silence were offered with nonsense chattering from the past few days. The staff working around seemed more alive so were the walls filled with colors. For the first time in decades, Ayaan felt that he came back home not just walls with a lavish interior.
According to the letters Ayaan had read, Shona had described herself as a shy-quite girl, a person who had a hard time making friends but the girl he was encountering in the past few days was the most talkative human he ever discovered in his life.
His ray of thought came to halt as he saw a staff rushing towards Shona's room. He frowned standing on the way. The staff enlarged his orbs in fear as his hands started shivering at the mere sight of Ayaan.
"What are you doing here at the midnight?" He demanded sounding furious. The thought of the staff boy any near to his sleeping angel infuriated him.
"I..." he stammered completely overtaken by fear.
"Speak up," Ayaan hissed not having much patience to deal with a foolish staff at midnight, especially when he was denied of his dose of addiction. Her letters!
"I..." the staff was attempting hard to bring the clear words out and not to infuriate the already fuming lion. "I...got the precious letters she was searching for from the morning. It was wrapped with the bedsheets, I found it among bedsheets in the laundry." He expressed making Ayaan frown.
"So, you were going to walk into her room at midnight?" Ayaan took a furious step forward.
"She had requested me to hand her the letters as soon as I got them." He lowered his head in fear, muttering more to himself.
Ayaan grabbed his collar tightly, "don't ever dare to walk into her room at such an hour."
The staff was shivering in fear though his orbs were still fixed down. "Hand me those letters," Ayaan ordered and the guy without giving a second thought obeyed the command. The minute the white paper touched Ayaan's fingertip a sigh escaped from his throat. He grabbed that letter and jerked the staff's collar off.
The minute the staff was out of the lion's grip, he ran for his life. Making a promise to himself that he won't ever let his shadow cross the room.
Ayaan stood there staring at the sheet of paper in his hand. His heart was beating loudly in his chest, sweat forming on his palms. Those pieces of paper had a completely different effect on him. It made his heart burst out of his chest, his spirit nervous and his orbs longed to read those letters. It made him crave it, it filled him with peace.
That was the reason he was feeling restless for the past few days. He was falling for those letters, he was falling for her.
