As Shona opened her eyes and a yawn escaped from her mouth, she glanced at the table beside her bed with excitement but soon met with disappointment as she found another letter left untouched on the table.

Ayaan hadn't visited her since the night she had caught him reading her letter. Shona had started to regret her decision to find the culprit. It was better if she had never caught him. At least her heart wouldn't be so disappointed on seeing those letters resting on the table untouched.

For the first time in her life, she felt as if someone was interested in her blabbers. She groaned, resting her head again on the pillow and shutting her orbs to grab some amount of sleep. Those words mentioned by Ayaan that night weren't ready to leave her alone. Someone cared to read her stupid letters was surprise enough, to make her dance in joy. She could never believe that her words could bring peace to someone. Her stupid, foolish nonsense was a source of headache to everyone she met in life.

She heard the knob turning and she shut her eyes in a reflex action. She wasn't in a state to greet Suhana. The approaching footsteps made her nervous she was never good at acting. Amma would always see behind her acts. The thought of Amma brought more pain to her heart, she was feeling so worthless at the moment.

"Why have you been ignoring her?" Suhana scolded staring at the machine and affirming with a nod.

"You said she would be discharged soon and it's going to be more than three months." Ayaan groaned making Shona's heart accelerate at the highest speed.

"We have to keep her under observation," Suhana shrugged it off. "She has been missing your presence..." Suhana muttered softly staring at the sleeping figure. "She kept waiting for those letters to disappear."

Ayaan groaned not liking the change in topic. "Why can't you simply accept that you miss her as well?" Suhana stared at Ayaan in annoyance. It seemed as if he had lost some weight in the past few days. His orbs had dark circles around them as if indicating the days of sleepless nights and the odor of alcohol spread around the room only indicating his worse state  "From when you started drinking in the morning?"

"Stop trying to act like my mother," he groaned and soon picked a paper from the table. He wasn't able to stop himself from reading it. Unknowingly her letters had become his addiction. He couldn't leave without reading them.
