"This was the last letter in her purse and not on a single letter she had mentioned that any of her family members have misbehaved or disliked her." Suhana was spying on the letter with unusual interest as if the paper would start speaking for itself.
"That was the reason I was against you reading the letter." Ayaan groaned as he slowly removed the hair from Shona's face. Suhana frowned in his direction.
"What do you mean?" Suhana sounded frustrated with his lack of clarification. "You claim that her family isn't safe for her, and neither is that guy. How could you accuse someone with whom she had spent her entire life?"
"Because they aren't her real family," Ayaan muttered, his orbs adoring the sleeping beauty laying before him. How was he blessed to be present beside her? "When is she going to gain conscious?" He inquired, sounding impatient. He wanted to hear her melodious voice as he had waited for that moment for the past month.
"What do you mean by not her..." Suhana wasn't allowed to complete her statement as Ayaan signaled her to halt.
Ayaan was staring at Shona with anticipation, her fingers were softly moving under his firm grip. He couldn't believe that small hand which he had held years back had the same softness, it could make him feel the same excitement. Her eyelids blinked before Ayaan called her out with his rough voice. He cursed himself for not sounding soft. "Shona..."
Her eyes took a minute to adjust the light around her but the minute her orbs locked with Ayaan's she screamed in horror. "Karthik!"
