"Why do you write those letters?" Suhana asked getting curious about the tiny object seating on the bed while busy scribbling her thoughts on a sheet of paper.

Shona passed a shy smile at the figure. Shona had found it hard to open up with strangers, she mostly gave clear-cut answers. "It feels like unbottling my feelings."

"You never had friends in your life?" Suhana was very curious about the mysterious patient that Ayaan was so fond of. She desired to know some aspects about her. Ayaan didn't adored humans! Surely, she had to be special to grab his attention.

"I did..." Shona's orbs were fixed on paper as she shrugged her shoulder. "But it never lasted for long as I was different from them." Suhana hadn't missed a touch of sadness in those words.

"You know," Suhana checked her pulse as she scribbled something on the notepad in her hand with a pencil. "Your difference makes you special." She patted Shona's shoulder as she walked out of the room. Suhana was aware that her heart was going to break into pieces but she was also aware that Shona and Ayaan needed each other.

___

Ayaan had pushed his exhausted leg into the hallway of the hospital. After a day filled with numerous clients and meetings, his body was demanding rest but his heart was aware he won't be able to get a minute of sleep if he won't glance at her angelic sleeping face.

Suhana had assured him that Shona's health was improving and she would be discharged but Ayaan was waiting for that day desperately. He dreaded the hospital building, those smells of medicines. It could trigger his past. It could bring back those losses. People he had lost in his journey of life made him realize he was left alone.

Shona had somehow become a source of hope. He wasn't ready to accept the truth. Shona was becoming the reason he forced himself into the hospital. The reason was that he was behaving more human for the past few weeks. His large hands twisted the knob and pushed the room open. He was stumbling on his feet as he forced himself inside the room.

His hands moved to his messy lock as his orbs finally got the view of an angel wrapped around a blanket, she looked like a kitten. His lip curved upwards in a smile and his heart skipped a beat. The feeling of loneliness and exhaustion faded away the minute his orbs got her glimpse.

That was the reason his heart always forced him to her because she provided him with peace. The peace that he wasn't aware existed. The peace that his heart had forgotten he would ever experience.

As always, the paper was folded on the table beside her as if she kept it there on purpose. As if she wanted that he read those thoughts addressed to her soulmate.
