"Why isn't anyone getting my texts??" I looked down at the ten unsent messages I had sent Billie who was next door in Zoe's room.
"I know, for some reason no ones getting mine either besides Jason who went out with everyone." Alison says flopping onto my bed.
I looked at the wall to the clock that looked like it had been sitting there ticking for a hundred years. Six thirty, thank god almost time to eat. Half of the students went out with Mrs. Petrova today to see the old city cathedral, and the rest of us who were jet lagged and way too lazy to get up decided to stay back at the hotel with Princable thompson and have a chill day.
"Wait, let me try texting Kit, maybe her phone will work too." I texted Kit dinner plans hoping the message would go through.
Ding.
"That's so weird."It seems that whoever was not inside the hotel was getting our texts when everyone inside wasn't. Made no sense at all. I sat down at the desk opening a tube of my aloe clay mask I brought from home.
"Maddy, what are they talking about in there." Ali whispers and points to the wall the beds were against.
"Billies trying to get Zoe to forgive her so we can have a drama free week-"
"Like that would happen." Ali laughs. "Are you still using those ones?" She holds her hand out to my extra hair rollers on the table.
"No here." I threw her a couple purple prickly rollers. I finished putting the cold mask all over my face as well as my neck, the last thing I wanted to do was break out in Italy.
I looked at Ali sitting on the bed rolling her strawberry curtain bangs up and finishing her makeup. She hummed along to a few songs off of Taylors Folklore album and went on her phone a couple times for a mid-getting ready break.
The corners of my mouth curved slightly, feeling a warmth coming from her, she finally seems somewhat okay. I just hope she stays that way.
"Hey." Billie walked back in along with Zoe shutting the bedroom door. There was a tension in the air with Zoe ever since we told her what happened to Robin.
"So what's the restaurant we're going to call?" Bil tries breaking the awkward silence.
"Vespri? I think, definitely something that starts with a V." I get up from the desk and open my luggage trying to find a dress or something cute to wear tonight.
"Has anyone seen the black dress with those holes in it from mirror palais?" I threw some shirts out of my luggage, making a mess on the floor.
"Why would I know?" Zoe stared at me as if I had accused her of stealing it.
"Well I was asking everyone, not just you..." I rolled my eyes at the random drama Zoe was trying to cause.
"I wouldn't steal your shit-"
"Okay Zoe I get it! Thank you for telling me you wouldn't take my dress when I wasn't even asking you in the first place." I throw a random shoe from my luggage out onto the floor and take a breath.
"Oh so you're the one getting mad at me? Raising your voice at me?" Zoe gets up from the bed beside Billie and walks over to me as I sit on the cold tile floor.
"I should be yelling at you. I should be going to the police telling them it was you!" Her angered tone got higher as she came for me, my suitcase was the only thing separating us from being at eachothers throats.
"Then do it." I quietly went through my clothes on the floor as she still stood tall towering over me.
"Fine I will-" She walks towards the door.
