My hand pressed against my chest feeling a pain inside I was all too familiar with. My throat swelled as if I had swallowed a rock as I held my tears.

"Don't talk to me." Her stern voice cracked as she ran away from the door.

No no no no.

Kits body fell to the floor infront of me as I sat up about to run outside when I noticed I was still in my towel.

"Maddy im sorry-"

"Just leave please." I grabbed the first loose shirt from luggage I could find and a pair or shorts as she left the room.

I ran outside into the hallway nearly forgetting to shut the door behind me. I wandered down the long stone hallways trying to get a glimpse of my girlfriend. Why the fuck did Kit have to kiss me? Did she really think I'd return the favor?

My heart fell to my stomach thinking back to Billie's expression before walking away. It's not like I kissed Kit back, she must believe that.

I walked out of the hotel as guests as well as workers stared at me. I grabbed my hair as I continued searching for her. I guess everyone was wondering why I looked insane. I mean my hair was wet with shampoo half rinsed out in my pajamas, but I don't care, I just need to find her. I just need to explain.

"If I was Billie, where would I go?" I whispered. If we were back home I know she would either be in her car or somewhere but I have no idea where she'd run off to here.

"Alison, have you seen Bil?" I dialed Ali's number, maybe she's with her.

"Uh no she left earlier, she said you texted her something and she got worried. Are you okay?" Alis voice kept breaking out as I walked farther away from the hotel. "Maddy??"

I hung up , feeling the cold night wind breezing against my bare legs. I made my way through the small wooden bridge onto the beach since it was the only place I could imagine her going.

The sound of waves crashing grew louder as I made my way onto the open sand. She was facing the water, her back turned to me. It was dark and the only light was coming from the full moon's dark glow.

I slowed down, relieved to have found her. Stands of her soft brown hair moved as the wind picked up. She didn't know I was behind her, all she was doing was standing still looking towards the ocean, almost how I pictured scarlett's last night looked like. Only it was far from her last.

"Billie.." I said softly wanting to explain what happened and cause the least amount of tension possible. I put my hand gently over her shoulder feeling the warmth from her sweater.

She brushed me off, ignoring me as if I were a ghost she couldn't see.

"Please just let me explain. She was just checking on me cause I had a nightmare-"

"And so you kissed her?" She still didn't turn to face me.

"No! She kissed me and as soon as I saw her leaning in I pushed her away while you came in. I wouldn't do that to you Billie." I take a few steps closer.

"You were sleeping before she came in?" She asks quietly.

"Yeah, I had this fucked up dream-" I began to explain.

"Then why is your hair wet, why were you in a towel?" She turns around, her eyes red as if she were crying for hours.

"I had one before I went to sleep...I didn't do anything with her, Billie , trust me." I plead.

"I can't help Maddy! She's been flirting with you ever since school started and you dont do shit about it!" Her voice raises.

"Yes I do! Even at the airport she joked about me being her girlfriend and I told her off-"
