Warm breezes blew her hair off her shoulders revealing two red marks across her neck from three nights ago. I still felt bad, I had no idea what came over me and it hurt her. The last thing I'd want to do.
I fixed the rim of my glasses glancing over at Kit for a moment who already had her dark eyes latched onto me like I was sitting on a silver platter ready on the table infront of her. I looked back down to my lap ashamed of the lines me and her took last night.
"Cacio e peepy ..uh..OH pepe..I think?" Billie's uncertainty while ordering made everyone laugh, making my head lift back up.
"Dont worry its pasta, it all tastes the same." Jason says before putting his arm around Zoe. On a better note, the two of them made up last night. Now I didn't get the full story but apparently Jason's roommate was out all night so Zoe snuck in his room.
We smiled and made some little ouuus as the two lovebirds across the metal table were acting as their usual selves. I met them when they were together so it was unnatural seeing them apart doing different things.
"Why would they sign us up for a cooking class right after lunch? I'm already so full." Alison asks, reminding me we had a cooking class to go to later.
"No no no Mr.Thompson said we're doing the museum...?" Claire chimes in. I still felt a little awkward around her. Claire seems sweet and all but we rarely talk, she doesn't exactly get my sarcasm which kinda makes interactions awkward. I should get to know her more, maybe when we get back home.
I raised my hand getting our principal's attention as the whole table debated over the plans for this afternoon.
"Sir are we going to the cooking class now or-"
"Noo were going to LA SPIAGGIAAA" He slams the table causing everyone's eyes to widen and wake up. We laughed at his sudden burst of italian.
"Is that italian for cooking-"
"NO Mr.Kanoska it means the beach! So get your trunks on!" Mr.Thomspon cut Jason off before walking away.
"Jesus, he's enthusiastic." Zoe laughs , digging into her tagliatelle.
"Maybe he did some..." Kit looked at me holding her hand to her nose and sniffing accusing him of snorting cocaine.
I inhaled quietly, fixing my posture. Why would she bring that up at the table and stare at me out of all people?
My girlfriend laughed at her joke even though she didn't particularly like her.
"Are you feeling okay?" Bil stopped laughing after noticing I wasn't.
"Mhmm." I nodded while sipping my wine.
Billie's dark blue eyes squinted looking into mine.
Shit.
Does she know? Did she see Kit leave the room last night?
"One arrabiata and one lemon spaghetti." The waitress interrupted us. Thankfully.
"Are you excited for the beach?" I decided to not let anything ruin this night. Were In Italy, the most romantic place in the world, in one of the beautiful cities with my favorite people.
I wasn't going to let my mind and its haunting thoughts take it away from me.
"I'm excited to see you at the beach." She says in her signature flirty voice. Somethings definitely in the air in Italy because everytime my eyes lock up with hers I want to jump on her lap.
"Yeah?" My heel slid up her leg under the white table teasing her. She licked her lips slightly, savoring me instead of the meal infront of her.
"Don't drink anymore though, you have a lot." She whispers, pulling my second glass of almost empty wine closer to her side of the table. Now usually I'd pull it back in my grasp but I was already feeling tipsy enough for 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
