Her face turned scarlet red and she sounded husky when she spoke, but despite that, she kept her eyes on his and responded honestly:

"I have never in my life been so desperate to get laid!"

They stared at each other for some time, then broke into a guffaw.

"Oh dear!", the flustered man panted after a while, "now I understand, why you acted the way you did, when I offered to help!"

"Yeah, not to mention, that I imagined that even....oh damn it, I.... I am sorry, I just... As I told you, it's beyond my control, what my emotions and other feelings do! It's just pathetic and embarrassing!", Nathalie stammered.

His face became serious, as he caught her wrist and placed her gesticulating hand back on her belly, to then gently caress not only the back of it, but also her forearm up to her elbow.

"Considering your actual mental state and all the excitement you went through, I suggest, we don't even start that conversation right now. But I am here for you and I will listen to you as long as you want me to as soon as you've gotten some rest. I'll just leave you now, so you can really retire a little and maybe even catch up on some sleep. You look tired and exhausted. I know, that's a common issue, but I am still concerned, so, have a good sleep and sweet dreams! I promise to you, I'll be at your side through all of this, if you want or need me to, okay?", he told her with a deep and calming voice, almost making her drift off already.

"Gabriel?", she sleepily called after him, as he had already reached the door.

"Mh?"

"I know, it's a lot to ask from you, but would you..... could you.... ", she sighed then nodded to herself and tried again, this time with success, "would you mind, giving me a good night kiss? Only on the forehead or the cheek, just to make me feel...you know....!"

Gabriel had quickly walked the few steps back and knelt on the bed with one leg now, his hands grasping hers, when he finished her sentence:

"...loved!"

The pregnant woman nodded while a few tears were slowly running down her temples now.

With a tender smile he cupped Nathalie's face and softly pecked her lips, then whispered into her ear:

"I'll do whatever you want, you just have to ask!"

After dropping something like that, he hurried out of the room and down the stairs, closing the door to his office behind him and leaning with his back against it.

"Oh Gabriel, you idiot! Now you probably scared her away for good!", he muttered to himself.

Nathalie though was all of a sudden wide awake again, her nausea and fatigue completely gone, because after hearing him say 'that' right into her ear with 'this' voice, her body had reacted on its own and gone into an even worse state of unfulfilled, sexual demand, than it already had been.

After trying to ignore it for some time, tossing herself from the left to the right, she rolled onto her back, groaning in agony. Slowly getting to her feet, to not cause her blood pressure to drop and cause a new wave of nausea, she made her way down the stairs and tried to sneak to her desk, to distract herself with working.

But at the very same moment, after she had turned the handle of the door and gently pushed it open, Nathalie was entering the office, she bumped into something tall and firm and let out a short cry.

"Nathalie!", Gabriel blurted out, as he caught her in his arms, "what are you doing down here? I thought, I told you to rest! Is there anything you need? Something wrong?"

Barely able to reply at all, as she now was not only in his arms, but pressed tightly against his body, Nathalie let out a quiet groan, then tried to pull away, but he just kept her in his grasp.

"I'm fine, Gabriel, I just....", she sighed, then gave him a pleading glare, "could you please let go now? I can't handle myself while being so close to someone, so for fuck's sake, let me get some distance in between us!"

Loosening his grip immediately, he watched his assistant take several steps back, tripping and almost falling into the cavity, that held the seats for the small runway in the middle of the room.

Luckily the tall man only needed one step to reach her again and pull her away from the danger, back towards his chest.

The sudden scare seemed to have had an impact on the female's libido though and she felt more in control, but instead her heart was racing and she was breathing heavily.

Nudging her gently a couple of steps away from there, he eventually stopped and looked down at her trembling figure, who was now clinging onto him, as if she was still afraid to fall.

"It's alright, dear, I got you! There's no need to worry any longer. Come, let's find a place, where we can sit down and talk, yeah? The weather is rather nice, would you like to take a walk outside in the garden? Or in one of the parks? The Tuilerie gardens maybe?", the grey-haired man proposed and she agreed with a soft smile.

"I guess, we could do that! To be honest, it would be nice. Summer is almost here and it's already warm and cozy in the sun. But let's stay on the premises, alright? I don't feel like walking a lot. Without feeling bad, just tired all the time and therefor very lazy!", she said the last words with a chuckle.

Gabriel smirked and laid and arm around her waist, holding her close, while walking her to the backdoor, which let into the garden, the statue of Emilie watching peacefully over everything out here.

"We could have taken the limousine and then gone for a walk somewhere, but this is just as good. The place doesn't matter, if we're with someone we like!"

Nathalie inhaled sharply through her nose, making him realize, what he had just said and he blushed deep red.

The designer tried to quickly apologise, but the dark haired woman, with the pink strand on the left side of her head, shook her head and hurried to say:

"I get, what you meant. No need to..."

"Make it more awkward again?", he mused.

"Yeah, that!", Nathalie lamented and let go of him to walk over to the small round of grass and sit down on it.

He placed himself across from her, so he could look into her unique turquoise eyes, which looked just like the water of the adriatic sea.

"Well, Nathalie, can you now tell me, what kept you awake and made you come down and try to go back to work?", he inquired.
