"She looks exactly like him!" Marinette blurted out when she saw the little girl for the first time.

"Shush! If Nathalie hears you, she'll freak out or start crying again." Gabriel scolded her.

After her first enthusiastic reaction, Nathalie had looked closer at her daughter's face, and even though she still found her beautiful, she also had seen that the baby looked very much like her biological father.

"I can't see that, Marinette." Adrien objected. "She looks just like Nath, in my opinion."

"Thank you, Adrien!" The new mother, who had just come back from the bathroom, said softly. "But you're right too. She looks a lot like 'him'. Lucky she's so pretty despite that."

The others laughed at her statement. Nathalie, on the other hand, was very serious and looked at them angrily.

"What's to laugh? Do you find my child ridiculous?" She spat. Then she slapped her hand to her mouth and started to cry. "Oh my, I'm sorry. I am... everything is still so... I feel so overwhelmed and emotional. I... please, can you all forgive me for..."

Gabriel didn't let her finish and pulled her into his arms, where she instantly started to cry. The designer kept rubbing his wife's back until she slowly calmed down. Just when she had a little control over herself again, the baby began to wake up and instantly was about to cry too, when Nathalie noticed and quickly picked her up.

"Don't you dare." She scolded tenderly. "Look, you're big brother and his girlfriend are here to see you. You can't just greet them like that."

As if she was able to understand her mother, the newborn stopped and looked at her while she spoke.

"Oh my gosh, that's so sweet!" Marinette blurted out, yet with a hushed voice. Then she approached the new mother and asked shyly. "Are you okay with me touching her? I would really like to know if her skin is as soft and shrivelled as it looks."

Nathalie giggled over her words and responded.

"Well, if you sit down, you can even hold her. If you like, of course!"

Marinette beamed and nodded vigorously.

"I'd love that. But you must place her in my arms. I am too scared to let her drop if I try taking her myself."

Gabriel chuckled and said calmly.

"I am very sure you wouldn't. But I can also understand that you're scared. But believe me, as soon as you have gotten used to the new sensation, you'll find out that babies aren't as fragile as you thought they'd be. What about you, Adrien? Are you scared too?"

He gulped, then explained.

"I am not even sure if I will at all dare to hold her soon. She looks so incredibly small."

The adults couldn't help it. They both started to laugh at the teenage couple.

As soon as Marinette had sat down on the hem of the bed, the new mother laid the baby half into her arms and half onto her lap.

At first, the young woman barely moved at all, but after some time, she started to feel more comfortable and gently rocked the dark-haired baby girl in her arms.

"How are you going to call her?" She asked, looking from Nathalie to Gabriel and back.

The new mother shrugged.

"I can't decide for any name. They all seem to be completely wrong."

"I'd rather say you are way too judgemental. You find something bad about every name you've heard so far." Gabriel mocked her with a loving grin and pecked her cheek.
