The next morning Ares didn't wake me as he got ready for work, and I eventually emerged from my room at 9a.m, feeling like a bear with a sore head, again! Frédéric made me pancakes once i made it downstairs, and I eagerly dug in feeling starved.
I left the house at 11, and set off to Nonno's with my guards in tow. Thankfully today the weather was back to normal, so there was no problems.
Nonno and Alicia were sat eating lunch in the garden when I arrived. Antonio and Xeres were lounging by the pool, with a few guys I'd never met before.
Nonno jumped up seeing me and came to hug me happily. "Ah nipote, are you feeling better today?" he asked me as he led me to an empty seat beside Alicia.
"I'm fine Nonno. How are you?"
"Still ticking along." He replied grinning.
He waved to one of the maids and asked her to serve me some lunch. She returns with the a plate as me and Alicia are catching up, and I dig in to the delicious looking pasta dish.
We chat all through lunch, and afterwards I go join Xeres and Antonio near the pool. Xeres picks me up and squeezes me tightly, spinning me around happily. "I've missed you squirt! Your man treating you good?" He demands me. "We can always kick his ass for you, if not?"
"Shut up Xeres, of course he's treating me well. And puh-lease, I'd like to see you take him on," I tease him. "In fact, I'd pay to see Ares kick your butt."
Xeres narrows his eyes at me and pouts. "You're pure evil, squirt. I take it back, I haven't missed you at all."
"Thank you, I do try." I tell him and mock bow at him, making the others laugh.
Antonio hugs me next and holds me a little longer than usual. "How you feeling today? No more feeling ill?"
"Nope. I'm fine."
"Okay, but next time go see a doctor?" He tells me sternly.
I roll my eyes at him as he releases me and I sit back down. "I don't need a doctor, I'm okay. Stop worrying you'll get wrinkles."
He rolls his eyes at me and smirks. "I thought it was worrying that causes grey hair, not wrinkles?" Xeres asks me slyly.
I shrug and smirk back. "It is, but Antonio hasn't got none. I suppose it won't be long before you lose yours Xeres, baldness seems to run in the family. Look at Ivan and Dante, they're both bald, too."
His eyes go wide as if he's not thought of it before, and I giggle loudly at him. "God, your face."
"Laugh it up squirt, just laugh it up. I'll get payback." He threatens me playfully.
My smirk widens "What for? Telling the truth?"
He charges at me and tries to grab me, I rush back towards the house quickly, and escape him as best I can while giggling my head off. "Ah! No Xeres, leave me alone you big bully!" I scream as I narrowly escape him again.
Nonno and Alicia are sat with Ivan in the lounge, as I run in out of breath. Ivan jumps up alarmed, and I dive behind him as Xeres comes rushing through the door. "Xeres! Are you bullying your niece again?" Alicia demands sternly.
He stops still and has the sense to look guilty. "Er.. no, just giving her the... er... lesson she deserves." He finally says, and grins at me.
Nonno coughs to hide a laugh as Alicia glares at him and Xeres. Ivan ignores everyone but me and hugs me, picking me up too. "I've missed you Bella. How're you?"
