Waking up the next day to the girls crying I'm slightly disorientated for a few seconds, until I realise exactly where I am. Getting up I head into the girls room, and see dad's already there trying to soothe them. I grab Sophia while he takes Rosalie, and we both change and dress them quickly. Thankfully they've both stopped crying by the time we carry them downstairs to make their bottles.
Placing the girls into their bouncers, I carry them into the kitchen, while dad makes up the bottles for me. ''Thanks.'' I tell him still groggy as he hands me them.
He chuckles at me and goes to put coffee on and I smile at him gratefully. ''Rough night?'' He asks gently as he feeds Rosalie.
''No, the girls slept through, I'm just exhausted and not sure why.'' I grumble feeling like crap.
''Jet lag,'' dad tells me knowingly. ''Doesn't matter if you slept on the plane either, it's all to do with the change in time zones. You'll feel crappy for a few days yet, because you're not used to flying.''
I groan louder and try to concentrate on feeding Sophia - who's gone back to sleep and I just feel like joining her.
After the girls have been fed and winded, we leave them in the bouncers and they watch us move around the kitchen. Dad hands me a large mug of coffee and I sigh in relief at the amazing taste. ''Thanks.''
''No problem.''
''Where is everyone?'' I ask him referring to the empty kitchen and quiet house.
''Ivan's at work, Maddox went back home to check on things, and Xeres is probably still sleeping.''
''Okay, it's just weird, I'm not used to the house being so empty.''
Getting up I raid the fridge and find it fully stocked, and I'm pretty amazed by the stuff that's in here, too. Dad see's my face and smiles. ''We have a housekeeper, she comes three times a week to do shopping and clean the house.''
''Uhm, I didn't realise we needed one. Why can't we just all clean, and I'll do the shopping myself?''
''It's fine, Bella.'' He assures me, ''I hired her myself, she lives local and needs the job. Her names Angela and she's your age, she's also a single mom too, so maybe you can get to know her?'' Dad asks cautiously.
