A Glee Twist

Chapter 5

Finn's POV:

Quinn and I are gonna head up the mountains in 30 mins, I'm just waiting for her to get dressed.

10 minutes have passed and she finally walks out of the room looking gorgeous as ever in a grey jumper, black leggings with a mini denim skirt and grey pumps. Her hair is curled and one side is pinned to the back. She looks like an angel.

"Are you ready to go?" I say to Quinn softly while wrapping one arm around her waist and picking the suitcase up with the other.

She doesn't say anything but just nods her head. I then catch a small twinkle in the corner of her eye and immediately take her into my embrace, it kills me to watch her cry.

"Don't cry babe. She's in a better place now. Sarah would've wanted you to move on." I gently whisper near her ear.

"Yeah, I get that but it'll take time Finn." she replies while crying.

I sigh and kiss her temple, not wanting to make anything worse.

"Let's get in the car."

She leaves to go to the car but I stay behind and make sure the lights are off and the doors are locked. I know my mom will be back tonight but I still need to double check.

Once I get in the car I see Quinn, lightly sobbing, facing the window. She hasn't noticed me yet so I go around the other side to her and open the door.

"Are you sure you wanna go? Will you be able to handle it?" I ask her while holding her face gently between my palms.

"I have to go. It will be tremendously hard but I have to cope for my parents, for Sarah." she says sadly.

I give her a quick, passionate kiss and go to my side of the car. I start the engine and tell her to shuffle next to me. You see, my truck has 3 seats in the front, which aren't separated, and 3 in the back which are also joined.

She then slides along and clings to my side. I place one hand on the steering wheel and lock the other one with Quinn's.

Halfway through the car ride, I pop in one of my 'Journey' CD's. And, since I know the tracks off-by-heart, I stick on Track 4: Faithfully.
