Recap

"April, what did you meant when you said you where 20 on the run and 10 on the run alone? I thought you were only 17..."

Well shit

I just stood there for half a minute looking at her, thinking how to explain to her that I was 170 years old.

"Well... you see... us foxspirit's... we live a little more than normal werewolves. In fact I'm almost certain that even you will grown old like we do, being a white wolf and that." I said, scratching the back of my head awkwardly.

"What do you mean 'grow old like we do'? How is your growing old different from a
werewolf's?" She asked with a determined look on her face, trying to hide the uncertainty she felt regarding her own future.

"Well I know werewolves age slower compared to humans... Foxspirits age slower than werewolves.."- She gave me a suspicious look and asked "How slower do you age compared to us?"

"Oh no you, as a white wolf, will age as slow as us, as soon as you sift. "

"That's not what I asked April. How. Slower. Do. You. Age?"- She asked already a bit annoyed. I couldn't blame her, I was avoiding the question at all costs, but I knew I couldn't run from it anymore.

I took a deep breath and answered as fast as I could

"Eachtenyearsofafoxspiritslifeisnotinawereveolfs"

She looked at me confused as hell, not understanding a single word I had said to her.

'Good' I thought for myself.

I mean now that I think about it, I really have nothing to worry about. She is almost just like me, and as soon as she shifts, we'll be pretty much stick with each other until we die or get killed.

Could it really be that bad , to be with someone for so much time? I mean, the people of our kind were never famous for finding their real mates, so most of us stay lonely until we die. Would it hurt not to be alone?

'No, I guess it wouldn't'

I liked her, I trusted her, we wouldn't be here if I didn't.

I decided that from that moment on I would always trust Red. I knew her for only a few hours and she already knew more about my past than I had ever told anyone- ish.

"Red..."- I looked at her right in the eyes and said- "Each 10 years of a foxspirit's life is one in a werewolf's."

I swear I heard her jaw hit the floor "T-that m-means you're l-like 170 years o-old?"- She looked at me with so much shock on her face that I couldn't help but to laugh. She had her eyes almost popping out of her skull, with her chin hanging open unattractively and her eyebrows almost reached the top of her forehead.

"WHAT?" She suddenly yelled making me jump on my seat

Instead of answering, I wait for her to take in what I had just told her.

"Am I going to be like you? Will I age that slow?"- She looked at me, with an uncertain look in her eyes, looking down a few seconds earlier, almost as if afraid of my reaction.
