Recap:
I looked her in the eyes and said "I know why you didn't shift when you were 13 years old."
"I know why I didn't shift when I was 13 years old. I'm weak, I wouldn't handle the first shift"- she said looking dowm at her feet
"Actually, that's not the reason.."
"How do you know that?"- she asked doughfully.
"I've been in contact with my fox recently. It only happens when something incredibly important thing is happening".
"Okay, and what did you fox say?"- she said looking at me trying to decide if the news I have were hood or bad.
"Red.. You're the white wolf, that's why you haven't shifted..."- She satered at me, confused. By the look on her face I could tell she belived me, she believed every word I said about her. She looked like she was trying to peace it all together, like she didn't understand why she was gifted with such an amazing thing. She averted her eyes from me and stared at the tree for a few minutes before saying in nothing more than a whisper
" I... I... T-that actually m-makes sense.- She turned har gaze back to me, with her eyes watering- It's just, I've always been so strong... this tree, this precise tree, I knocked it down."
I looked at her hide eyed. I could mean that tree was huge! I could have taken it down but it would still have required a lot of strength. No ordinary werewolf, even in wolf form, could rip out a tree like take. I was genuinely interested in how and why she ripped off a random tree in the middle of the woods so I asked her why she did it.
"I was angry at Victoria for some reason, probably related to the way she treats me at school, and I just got out of school and ran into the woods. I ran and ran until I got here, and just walked uo to the tree and punched it as hard as I could."- she let out a soft chuckle, forming a smile that I probably mirrored.-"Then the tree fell over. I remember freaking out and looking around to see if someone had saw me. I was never sure why, but I always felt the need to hide my powers."
I'm glad she hid them. My father told me stories when I was a child, about white wolfs and witches and vampires, but the white wolf's stories where always my favorite. Except when my father would tell me the stories of how they died: cut in half, decapitated, burned to ashes, all of them horrible deaths. According to my father, White wolfs were meant to have a horrible deaths, a life full of trouble and a life full of loneliness, but she didnt need to know that. I was going to make sure that didnt happen to her. I suddenly snapped out of it "Wait powers? What else do you have?"
"Well, I can listen to peoples thoughts, even if they have their barrier up. I've even heard the Alphas thoughts. It was harder than a normal wolf, but still, it was surprisingly easy. I can read yours though."
I sent her a cocky smirk and said "I know, fox spirit's perks." She gave me a playful glare and i continued "I can't read yours either" I said with a puzzled expression. In my entire life, I could get inside every mind I wanted but my brother's and father's, becaise they always had they barriers up. I remember when I was younger and still hadn't learned how to buold a barrier and my brother and father would always get in my head to see if I was lying. I'm a really great liar I admit. it's something I'm very good at and have been doing it all my life. suvival of the fittest, people.
"I know, white wolf's perks" She said mirroring the same smirk I had made just a few seconds ago. "Hahaaaa" - I faked laughed at her joke, rolling my eyes at her. "So it's that all you can do? Read people's minds and be a little Hulky?"- I pretended to be unimpressed.
