(Hello! So I'm just gonna pretend like I haven't been gone for like 10 months... yeah.
Fyi: In the middle of the chapter I started reading Pride and Prejudice so my English probably changed a little.)

Recap:

"Your brother arrived today." He said strangely calm.

"What?" I said breaking the hug and staring at him in shock.

"Yes and he brought Mary, Derek's and Ian's sister with him."

'Oh god. This is going to be good. How the hell am I supposed to deal with both my brothers? And plus some girl he brought with him? And all the troubles they will bring? I mean I'm curious to see him and I do miss him, but Christ couldn't he had chosen a better timing? Well he always did have a thing for bad timing. This is going to be fun. Have Zack and Mattew even met properly or were they both just stalking me for years and never met?

Ashton seemed to feel my uneasy mind and wrapped his arms around me, staring at me his with beautiful brown eyes, making a smile that made me literally feel my worries leaving my body, a smile apearing on my face too.

"It's okay we can plan a proper reunion if you like, you dont have to see him until you're ready to." He said reassuringly.

As if on cue, the door swang open and my dear brother's recognisable voice sounded through the room, and loud and careless as ever:

"SUPRISE, APE!!" He shouted, and I knew by his tone that he had a smirk on his face. "Ya miss me?"

Fuck my life.

At first I didn't even look up to meet his eyes, I was too focoused on my own heart beat ringing in my eyes, my mind suddenly going from middly worried to complete overdrive.

'What does he look like?'

'Does he have any new scars?'

'Did he get into an accident and lost one of his limbs or burnt half his face and now he looks like that guy from Batman?'

These were only some of the questions echoing through my head as I continued to stare at my mate's eyes, that were cautiously studying me, searching for a reaction.

I felt like my chest was going to explode or something. I didn't know what to feel nor what I was feeling. I was expectant to this reunion but I also dreaded it. I just hoped he wouldn't let me down. He seemed different on the phone, but on the phone and in real life are two completly different things. I hoped they weren't.

After I realised that there had been a few minutes of awkward silence due to my refusal to look at my brother, I slowly turned my head to the side without breaking my gaze with Ashton and with a reassuring nod from him I turned to my brother.

He looked the same.

He looked exactly the same, still had a messy brown hair and kind deciving brown eyes. Of course, our slow aging also helped but still, he looked exacly like the guy I left 10 years ago, but this one seemed less tired.

The room fell into an anxious silent, every person searching for a reaction from me and my brother. I met his eyes, who were looking at me with the same amazement as mine, making selfconcious about my own apperance.

I probably looked like a hot mess, especially with all the stress I had been through. I had always been the stressful one, always worrying about everything. I stared at him for a while longer, getting lost in my brother's eyes, that I had suprisingly miss, Mattew himself doing the same, before I blinked and looked at the floor for a second before my brother cleared his troat awkwardly, probably also snapping out of his nostalgic trance.
