(A/N: Hey guys! So sorry the chapter's late! I know it's been almost a month since I last updated and I would have been able to update sooner but I got caught up on some things and I didn't had the time.
Also do you like the new cover? And the new tittle? I also changed my name to my actual name so... yeah, that's it..
Not edited!)
Recap:
I knew I loved him, but I couldn't just dive into a bloody eternal relationship! That was not on my nature to do that. Although being with him, on that moment, lying in each other's arms, felt nothing but right
"Hey Ashton?" I said, burying my face in his chest, gently grabbing his tshirt.
"Yes April?" He said with a loving voice, one that made feel warm inside, much to my disgust.
"This doesn't make us a couple." I said with a tired sighed, hearing a soft and annoyingly perfect tired chuckle as a response, drifting to sleep in a matter of seconds, the safety and warm of my mate's present making a small smile appear on my lips.
I woke up to one of the most peaceful nights I had ever had. I also woke up next to one of the people I care about most in the world. Lately I have been allowing myself to admit my true feeling for him, to admit what I want from him.
I remembered a conversation I have with Caroline a few days ago about Ashton and me. About my feelings for him. She told me I was in denial and didn't want to admit my feelings for him, and I told her she was wrong. I didn't have and feelings for him besides the ones that came with the mate bond. However these ones were weak due to our lack of commitment to our relationship. I was wrong though, I had feelings for him, I just wouldn't admit that to myself.
I had only been in this town a little under a month and I was already learning that I wasn't always right, that feelings weren't bad, and that trust is a thing. I liked it. It was different, but a good different. I liked it a lot. I mean sure there were issues, like Zack.
Zack.
It felt weird to say his name, a name I had forgotten about, a name I thought I would never hear again. I wasn't sure how I felt about him. I mean he was my long lost brother, but he wasn't what I expected. I myself wasn't sure what I expected. I had never considered the thought of seeing him again, so I didn't even create any kind of expectation.
I had wondered about what he was like before he ran away after my mom died. I imagined him as a loner, a cast out, an emotional kid. I guess I was right. He was emotional that's why he ran away, he also probably didn't have a lot of friends so it was easier to leave. I was sure my mom's death had changed him, he had became cold and distant. I mean I wasn't one to talk but I'm sure I wasn't as cold and distant as he was right? Right? I hope so.
I should ask Matt. Maybe he remembers something about him, or something father said about him. I just really wanted to know the old Zack, maybe because I didn't like the knew one.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt the person next to me started stirring, pushing me off the couch. I widened my eyes and held on to his shirt, entangling our legs so I was glued to him and wouldn't fall off the couch, one to small for two people, especially one with Asthon's size. He turned to me, basically putting himself over me, moving the weight I was holding on to and causing me to lose my balance, resulting on me falling if the couch, dragging him down with me.
He fall must have woke him up because instead of getting crushed by his hole body weight he was able to make a plank position, standing completely over me, our breath fanning on each others faces. He looked suprised and shocked, at he locked around for any sign of threat, but soon realise there was nothing wrong and looked back to me.
