(Hello! I hope your school is going well! Well, I hope you're not depressed about it!
This chapter is kinda short and it doesn't happen a lot, but there are a few revelations sooooo enjoy and coment and vote and stuff!)
Recap:
I couldn't even think at this point, I was in too much physical and phsicological pain and most of all, I was too tired. I saw black spots filling my vision just as Cole lifted his paw up to prepare for the final blow.
I wasn't ready to die, but I was to busy grieving my friend to think otherwise, so I didn't even flinch when the Beta's brutal and deadly paw started coming down on me.
The last thing I saw before blacking out was a white blur tackling the Beta off me.
I woke up sore and with pain throbbing all over my body, but mainly on my chest and on the left side of my head. I felt as if I had been put on a blender and then someone swung a bat at my head. All in all, I felt like absolute shit.
I groaned and tried to sit but as soon as I contracted my muscles a new wave of pain ran through my body and I immediately colapsed on the bed, groaning at my incapability to do such a simple task.
I looked around the room where I was and smelled the air, trying to figure out who did room belonged to. I was soon floaded with the familiar scent that newly shifted friend had. I perked up trying to find her but I was greeted with an empty room. She couldn't have been gone for long, but there were multiple scents near her room, probably because we were on the Pack House, so it made it harder to identify where exactly Red was.
Her room was fairly simple, with white walls, a dresser, a bed and a cupboard, as well as a few boxes that told me she had just recently moved here was all there was in her room. I wondered where she was, could she be in the bathroo-
Wait. No
No, no, no, no. It can't be.
Reality hit me like a ton of bricks and I suddenly felt out of breath. I placed a hand on my chest wincing when it came in contact with my wound. I couldn't stop my breathing from becoming eradic and short and the less I tried to think about it, the more I did, increasing my heart beat to match my breath, eradic.
Hell no.
She can't be dead, she can't be.
I trew the blanks off me and swung my legs of the bed, ignoring the pain radiating through my body. I grabbed the cupboard for support and got up, wincing at the pain. I stumbled to the door and slowly twisted the knob, taking a deep breath and blinking the tears away before yanking the door open and peeking my head to the hall, looking in both ways, trying to find an exit.
I just wanted to go home right now.
This place reminds me to much of her.
I saw that on my left, the hall lead to a dead end, but on my right, I saw the hall's curve, leading to a possible exit. I even considered jumping out of a window, but that could worsen my injuries and make me incapable to walk, and I did not wanted to find my mate somewhere here, I didn't want to find anyone here. I just wanted Red.
I wanted my best friend back.
Avoiding all the images in my head, I closed the door behind and walked to the right, supporting myself on the walls as the pain slowly decreased. The corridor lead to another hall that had in the end what looked like a a set of stairs.
