Philip and Phyllis Williams and the other two couples they share a home with on Star Base 12 haven't even started their families.
It is April 30, 2153 and they have only been on Star Base 12 for 45 days and they heard the news that the USS Excalibur has just left Europe with 150 new couples mainly from England.
A Starfleet officer tells them " The USS Excalibur won't arrive here until April 30, 2159."
"The United Federation of Planets has just implemented the program and they would only take 150 couples from Europe." The officer tells them.
"I heard from Starfleet Command that the next Starship is not due to leave Planet Earth until after 2159." The officer states.
"I was told that the majority are English aristocrats. I can assure you that Star-Base 12 won't change." The officer tells them.
"Star-Base 12 is a brand new United Federation of Planet colony and it is governed by Star-Fleet Command and it is patrolled by several Starships and they monitor both Star Base 8, Star Base 10 and Star Base 12." The officer explains.
"Star-Fleet Academy is sending a medical officer to take care of the needs of Star Base 12 and the students that are enrolled at Starfleet Academy. They will send a medical officer to Star Base 8 and 10." The officer explains.
"Star-Fleet Central will let you know when The USS Excalibur orbits around Star Base 12 and the President of The United Federation of Planets would appreciate it if you offer the new arrivals a place to live until they get settled." The officer tells them.
"We can take in the first five couples, and the rest can take in the remaining couples." Philip tells him.
"Our home already has 6 couples." Philip states.
"We will do our best to welcome the newest arrivals on Star Base 12." Philip tells him.
Philip and his friends prepared for the arrival of the USS Excalibur to arrive on April 30, 2159.
