Princess Marjorie Bruce' son, Robert who took the name of his grandfather, King Robert of Scotland I in 1371 until 1390, but he married Lady Elizabeth Mare and they had children, and his son, John Stuart became King James I of Scotland and he was the youngest son of King Robert II of Scotland and he married and he had a son named King James II and he was the eldest surviving son of King James II and he had a son named King James III of Scotland whose son King James IV married The eldest daughter of King Henry VII of England and Queen Elizabeth of York and she was named after her paternal grandmother, Lady Margaret Beaufort, whose grandaunt, Lady Joan Beaufort married King James I of Scotland and her grandfather, Lord John Beaufort, 1st Earl of Somerset gave birth to Lord John Beaufort and he gave birth to Lady Joan of Beaufort and she was the first cousin of King James II of Scotland through her paternal aunt, Lady Joan of Beaufort and she was also first cousin to Lady Eleanor Beaufort and first cousin once removed to Lady Margaret Spencer who was the mother of Sir William Carey and she was also the first cousin once removed to King Henry VI of England and she married his half brother, Lord Edmund Tudor and they had only one son, King Henry VII of England.
Queen Margaret's only child that survived was King James V of Scotland and his only child that survived was Queen Mary of Scotland and she married as her second husband, Lord Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley and he was the son of Lady Margaret Douglas and her mother was Queen Margaret Tudor with Lord Archibald Douglas, Earl of Angus who direct ancestor was King James II of Scotland through his daughter, Princess Mary of Scotland who married James Hamilton, 1st Lord Hamilton and their daughter, Lady Elizabeth married Matthew Stewart, 2nd Earl of Lennox and it was their son Lord Matthew Stewart, 4th Earl of Lennox married Lady Margaret Douglas the granddaughter of King Henry VII of England and they were the parents of Lord Henry stuart, Lord Darnley who married his half second cousin, Queen Mary of Scotland and they had one son, King James VI of Scotland who also became King James I of England in 1603.
