Destiny shorts; Revenant Edition

SFW; Penny and Herra

Herra stands on top of the RUIN HQ as the wind howled in her face. Her eyes were closed as she listened to the strong breeze in her ear, the crack of thunder in the distance... Eventually, she'd feel cold rain begin to come down on her face and hair, and she let out a giddy laugh, her face briefly illuminated by lightning far away.

She lowered her arms as the rain could be heard pounding away at the metal roof, turning around and opening her brilliant green eyes to see Penny, her arms crackling with Arc Light. She lets out a deep, almost malicious sounding laugh before speaking to her.

Herra; "Doesn't it feel good? All that power, begging to be released?"

Lightning strikes next to Penny on the roof, making her jump a little, and Herra laughed at her again.

Herra; "This! This is what it means to be an Arcstrider! To be a Bladedancer!"

Herra stopped when Penny raised a hand sheepishly.

Penny; "Sorry, miss Herra... What's a Bladedancer?"

Herra let out a sigh as she looked down, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Herra; "My dear Penelope-"

Penny; "Penny."

Herra; "Whatever. Before Arcstriders, there were Bladedancers; Elegant, swift, yet altogether different. Rather than a staff, Bladedancers used their knives and imbued them with Arc Light."

Another bolt struck the roof, and Penny jumped away from it as she lost the charge, nearly stumbling off the roof, but Herra grabbed her cloak and threw her backwards with a playful laugh.

Herra; "Do not fear the lightning, little Hunter... Learn to ride it!"

Penny stood and took in a deep breath, watching the Arc return to her hands before holding them up high with a shout. Lightning struck Penny as she was shrouded in electricity, an electrified dagger in each hand as she assumed a stance.

Herra smirked at the sight and held her hands up as lightning surged into her palms, making her laugh as she, too, was draped in flowing electrons, illuminating the streets below.
