Eve stands on the staggered platform of black stone as she watches her ship careen into the magenta abyss below. Transmatting in alongside her was Nolan, just above her shoulder, a scowl expressed as best his shell would allow. Evelyn had her helmet off as she watched the pattern shift and move on the other end of the portal, towards the interior of the Traveler, walking along the makeshift path as Nolan scoffed at her.

Nolan; "You just had to be a hero and fly the thing into a rock, didn't you? The *one* time I let you fly-"

Eve held up an erect finger to interrupt him, doing her best to restrain her frustration.

Eve; "I swear, it wasn't there when I looked the first time."

Nolan rolled his eye before gasping a little when a haze of luster shimmered in the distance, disappearing in a transmat. Appearing are a few Psions, some of them with Stasis shimmering on their armor, the others bearing Strand threads that pulsed across their right arm. One of them pointed and shouted at Eve in a strange language before sprinting closer, drawing weapons of obsidian and resonance, firing at the Exo

Eve immediately threw down a Glacier grenade near her feet, putting a wall of Stasis between herself and the Psions, giving her time to draw her shotgun. Just before she could jump over the Stasis wall, Eve could hear the familiar etheral rippling of Strand, seeing the Weave come into view between her and the crystal. The threads bent towards her, and Eve took in a sharp inhale as she felt a force pull on her towards the end of the bend, like a jet pulling a stung maneuver. When the threads whipped in the other direction, Eve was sent crashing through the Stasis wall, the splinters and shards lacerating her clothing as she floundered to the floor between two Psions.
.
When Eve lifted her head, she was staring at the face of one of the Stasis Psions, whom was rearing their left arm back to send a pulse of cold matter at the Warlock. Evelyn blinked out of the way before it could hit her, appearing behind the Stasis Psion and making them freeze their Strand counterpart. Once Eve was behind the Stasis Psion, she kicked them in the knee joint to make them kneel, swiftly grabbing their head and snapping their neck with an aggressive twist and a grunt.

She used a Strand grapple to pull her shotgun back to her, preparing to attack another grouping of Psions before she was hit by another band of Strand threads, throwing her off the platform with a shout. Eve closed her eyes as she passed through the other end of the portal, opening them when she felt herself falling downwards, seeing herself fall towards the old Tower of the Last City, overgrown and fully repaired.

Eve gasped at the sight, hanging a Strand grapple in the air and slowly descending into the courtyard, mouth hanging open at the surroundings. She looked around a moment as the weave dissipated, taking in the scenery with her hands on her hips, breathing heavily.

Eve; "This... Is inside the Traveler? I thought there'd be... more white."

Resonance shimmered in front of her, and she took some steps back as a lanky entity emerged from the swirling stone shards, glaive in hand, the blade and their shoulders shimmering with Strand threads. She clenched her fists at her sides, Void plasma gathering around them.

Eve; "... Another Lubraean? You know Rhulk?"

The entity shook its head, as if to say not, then pointed then bowed, almost in mock respect, before speaking. Despite speaking in a language Eve'd never heard before, she seemed to understand it.

Lubraean; "Hin oblaan los het." (Your finality is here)
.
With a flourish, its glaive became charged with Strand plasma, and it swiped it diagonally to send a volley at Eve, which she blinked out of the way of. She then drew her shotgun, racked the lever and rushed forward. With its free hand, it reached out and grabbed Eve by the neck, slamming her onto the ground at such an angle that it was able to pin the weapon to the ground with the tip of the blade. Evelyn grunted and struggled under the Subjugator, hands on its wrist as it scoffed at her.
