Meurdrac walked the streets of the Last City, eyeing the elevator that led up to the wall, just to the right of the Tower. She had the Acolytes staff in hand, being careful not to snap it in half, but still holding it with a white-knuckle grip (or the Exo equivalent). She mumbled something incoherently, her head angled downwards. Her SHADE appeared over her shoulder, and she almost swatted it out of the air until she realized what it was. Its voice was synthetic and monotone, sounding more like a Servitor than a Ghost.

SHADE; "Detecting elevated heart rate and aggressive muscle contractions. Are you in need of assistance?"

Meurdrac groaned and planted the staff in the ground, fodling her arms over her chest.

Meurdrac; "Not from a fucking light bulb! I don't wanna go all the fucking way to Savashits ship on Mars! Do I have to make the portal there?"

She let out a hiss and turned away, ignoring the glowing red cross of the hospital across the street from her. She then shook her head and gripped the staff behind her, holding it high as the head of the staff gathered soulfire, sickly green and dripping embers of magick.

Meurdrac; "Fuck it, we'll try it here."

When she slammed the staff into the ground, a Hive portal opened in an alley between the hospital and an apartment building, papers and loose junk being pulled in briefly as pressure equalized with the other side. Her SHADE dematerialized when she ripped it out of the air into her other hand, stomping through the portal, ignoring the frightened Eliksni and Humans that observed the portal opening.

Vestige walked the streets of the Last City with his hands in his pockets and a dark wooden pipe in his mouth, his cloak flowing behind him as he made his way to the hospital in view of the Tower, close to the wall. Upon going inside the waiting room, he sat down with a quiet groan and removed the pipe from his mouth, humming along with the music being played overhead. The receptionist got his attention by waving a hand over the desk.

"Excuse me, sir; no smoking in the lobby!"

Vestige raised an eyebrow at the receptionist, glanced to the pipe, then exclaimed as realization dawned on him.

Vestige; "... Oh! Apologies, young lady, it's not for smoking."

He put the pipe in his mouth again and blew into it, causing soap bubbles to froth and grow out from it, eliciting a giggle from a young Eliksni across the lobby. The receptionist smiled and waved her hand in dismissal as she sat back down, Vestige turning his attention to the young Eliksni; she was starting to grow in her lower arms, her upper arms bearing signs of being soft-shelled and recently molted. He gestured for her to come over, which she did after looking to her parent for a nod of approval.

Vestige; "Velask, little one. What is your name?"

She stands on the balls of her feet to momentarily be at eye level with him, despite him being seated.

Eliksni; "Nedafsis. What's your name, mister?"

He chuckled a little as he removed the pipe from his mouth, setting it in his lap.

Vestige; "Well, that's rather interesting, you see; I technically have two names. My Human name was Sir Walter Melange... But, as an Exo, I'm called Vestige-18. You can call me Vesi, miss Nedafsis."

He swiftly pulled a pair of Hunter blades from sheaths on his thighs and made an Eliksni cross salute, which Nedafsis returned with her pointer fingers. When Vestige resheathed the blades, he opened a portion of his vest and reached a hand in, rummaging around.
.
Vestige; "Tell me, do you like strawberry?"

Nedafsis nods with a wide smile, creasing the edges of her mouth against her Ether mask.

Vestige; "I do too; strawberry is one of my favorites, especially when it comes shaped like this-"
