It's our first Christmas as a whole family, me Antonio, Eva, Diego and Lucas. I roll over to see Antonio's side of the bed empty and cold, meaning his been up for a while. I hear Lucas cooing in his crib. Stretching I get up I pick Lucas up of his crib and proceed to feed him before changing his diaper and getting him dressed for the day. "Good morning" I yawn walking down the stairs with Lucas in my arms. Antonio is already up and dressed with Diego and Eva "you haven't started presents without me have you?" "Of course not. I've made you a coffee" Antonio nods towards the coffee table. I make my way to the couch and place a sleeping Lucas in his bassinet. Because he is only a couple of months old Antonio and I decided that this year we would keep the presents mostly to Eva and Diego, of course Lucas has a few but they're more to us from friends and family, clothes, blankets, teddies. We start opening presents, Lucas wide awake cooing to himself the whole time. That is until he starts crying "I have him" Antonio lifts him out of the bassinet "I think someone needs a diaper change. Diego fancy changing him?" Antonio jokes "Nooo that's all you dad" "If he's leaked there's a spears change of clothes on the changing table" I tell Antonio who starts making his way up the stairs "right you two, start tidying up this mess and I'll get breakfast started" I tell the kids "Pancakes?" Eva asks "You know it" I give them a wink and get up heading into the kitchen to get started on the pancakes.
I finish dishing everything out when Antonio comes into the kitchen holding a small wrapped present "You forgot to open one" he says handing it over to me. Frowning feeling confused I take the little present from him and start to unwrap it. Seeing a jewellers names on the box I sigh "I thought we decided no serious presents this year?" "Well if you didn't have this today you'd have it before the end of this year in some way. Close your eyes" I shake my head smiling at him and close my eyes. Thinking I would feel him placing a necklace around my neck I find it very confusing when he tells me to open my eyes. There's Antonio knelt down in our kitchen. Diego holding Lucas by the door with Eva next to him "YN Halstead my beautiful girlfriend I didn't think I would love someone as much as I do you. Will you marry me?" Trying and failing to let the tears roll down my face, I hold back a sob "Yes. Yes of course I'll marry you" Antonio slips the ring on my finger before lifting me in the air and placing a kiss on my lips "I love you" "I love you the most" I lean down and kiss him again "Ewww ok I don't want another sibling any time soon. Can we please eat?" Diego complains "Yes come and grab a plate" Antonio places me down and I take Lucas from Diego who then takes his plate. We all sit down to eat our breakfast before Gabby, Jay and Will arrive at the house for Christmas dinner later on.
