Chapter 11: End of Jeju Island raid

The humanoid ant absorbed the healer's ability and used it to heal himself completely. And for the stamina he rested near the bodies in the bushes.

Randall upon reaching the entrance was faced with a barrier made of fire. He decided to blast a hole around the barrier instead of breaking the barrier using his magic, 5 minutes later he was inside. He then proceeded to search for them in that maze without any clue as to where they might have went.

After 20 minutes of aimlessly wandering around he found a bonfire. After replenishing his spell uses and healing items he said, "I am running out of time. I wonder how many died at the claws of that thing."

Just as he said that he heard a scream. It was the queen ant calling back all the ants.

"That way." said Randall and then proceeded to fire all his spells in direction of the scream.

After 10 minutes of blasting through the earth he finally made it to the group.

As the injured group were fighting the ants they heard an explosion and then a guy dropped from the roof of the cave, It was Randall. Randall immediately started firing spell at the ants at a mind-blowing rate. He must have fired 3 great soul arrows every second, But because of that very speed he ran out of spells very quickly.

"Jong-In, your turn." said Randall as he ran toward them.

Jong-In then took over and provided cover fire as Randall started healing him and his allies.

After everyone was healed they joined Jong-In in the fight. Randall was out of any offensive spells so he equipped his old rapier and shield and joined the battle as well. But his weapon couldn't harm the ants and his shield was of little use as they flaked him.

"Randall!" screamed Jong-In as he saw Randall being sliced in half by an ant.

Suddenly everyone lost their moral and the flow of the battle shifted in favor of the ants again. As everyone started losing hope they heard, "I am not done yet."

They looked up and saw an undead firing spells at the ants form the hole.

"Is that you, Randall?" asked Baek Yoonho while in his transformed state.

"Yes." said Randall, not wasting any time on talking and focused on killed the ants instead.

Randall soon ran out of spell uses again but this time he equipped a Talisman, to be specific a Darkmoon Talisman, and jumped right into the center of the ant's formation. Then he used the miracle 'Wrath of the Gods' 3 times killing dozens of ants at once and one shadow solder but no one noticed that.

Just as they thought the battle was won the humanoid ant appeared.

"I found you." said the ant will looking at Randall.

"But first the weak." said the ant as he launched towards the unconscious women at high speed.

Randall thought, 'I couldn't save them. But I promise to you all, I will kill every last ant on this Islan...' but he was interrupter by a voice.

"You did well. Let me handle the rest." said Jinwoo standing in front of the ant holding its claws.

Jinwoo and the humanoid ant then fought. Their fight was nothing but a one sided beatdown of the ant. At the end Jinwoo defeated the humanoid ant and the army of ants it called.

Thanks to Jinwoo the korean team only had one casualty and the rest were saved. On there way back in the helicopter everyone was quite until Randall broke the silence.

"Do you have anything to eat. I am very hungry for something like bacon." said Randall to the pilot.

"We have some protein bars if you want."

"That will do just fine." said Randall as he took the bar and walked back to the seat.

"Randall, could I ask you something. How did you come back? I saw you die." said Jong-In.

"I did die, but my death is a little different then yours." said Randall as he eat the protein bar.

"What do you mean by your death is then ours?"

"When I die I come back as an hollow but for some reason I don't loss myself like I should. But when you die you remain dead."

"So this skill of yours effectively makes you immortal?"

"It would seem so, yes."

'A hunter that never dies. How scary is that. I must make him part of my guild.'
