Chosen Undead in Solo Leveling

Chapter 1: Encounter

Timeline= solo leveling manga chapter 17.

Near Hapjeong station a dungeon break happened but no monsters came out, Instead a man wearing Elite knight set carrying a rapier and a crest shield did. The hunters took him in custody and investigated the dungeon he exited from. There they found the bodies of multiple monsters spread through out the dungeon. He was not very strong physically nor did he have powerful gear, yet he managed to conquer a D rank dungeon alone while he was at best D rank. That man escaped custody by turning into white dust the same night.

Rumors about this incident spread among the hunters like wild fire. Some believe him to be a humanoid monster others believe him to be just an unranked hunter but most believe him to be a lie. And they would be right from a logical perspective, if that person was as strong as a D rank hunter like they claim it would be impossible for him to escape from custody as there were A & S rank hunters on duty. Also it takes multiple D rank hunters to conquer a D rank dungeon so a D rank hunter could never clear it alone.

In a dark alleyway near Hapjeong station,

"This place is unaffected by the undead cures. Its lively like Astora ones was. It could be my new home but the rulers of this place are hostile toward an outsider like me." said the knight dressed in blue. He then took out a 'soul of a lost undead' from the bottomless box and crushed it, "Unfortunately I lost all my souls by using the 'darksign' but I can't risk going hollow. I must gather more souls." then he changes into an outfit he stole from the shopping mall and walks away.

timeline= chapter 18.

Sung Jin-Woo entered a C rank dungeon with 9 other hunters. He was a non-combatant of the group purely present to fill the required team numbers for entry. Upon entry he saw corpses insect monsters numbering in hundreds.

"Did another group entered before us?"

"No, we are the first to enter"

"Look at their wounds. They were all stabbed with something thin and long."

"Could it be the boss."

"I don't know. The magic crystals were not removed so I can't be a hunter."

"Take all the magic crystals! We're splitting them among nine!"

After they collected all the magic crystals they went deeper into the dungeon. They walked for few hours and found corpses of monsters with ether stab wounds or blunt force injuries scattered along the way. Finally they reached a room filled with magic crystals which also had a boss inside.

As they were about to mine the crystals but the guy with the expensive outfit confronted the leader about their contract terms which the leader promised to solve. Then the team left the rich guy and the non-combatant on guard to bring their equipment. Few minutes later they closed the boss room entrance leaving the two on guard duty trapped inside.

"What do we do?! The entrance!"

"They're trying to kill us both just because of mana crystals!" Said the rich guy.

The boss woke up from all the noise and then Sung Jin-Woo started fighting the boss.

5 mins into the fight a guy dropped from the roof onto the head of the boss. He was the chosen undead wearing his elite knight set and holding his rapier on one hand and a shield on his back.

The chosen undead then started stabbing the eyes of the spider over and over. That boss reacted strongly to that attack and started ramming itself into a wall as it couldn't attack him normally due to its lack of flexibility.

This development surprised the other two spectators. Nether them nor the boss detected his presence until now and that bothered Sung Jin-Woo.

The chosen undead moved from near the eyes of the boss to the lower back to not be crushed between the boss and the dungeon walls. From there he started stabbing into the joints of the armor as his weapon wouldn't go through otherwise. The damage done was not nearly enough to hurt the boss so he applied Gold Pine Resin on his weapon.

Now that the boss was focused on the chosen undead Sung Jin-Woo launched his own attack. He aimed for the remaining eyes of the spider and successfully landed a hit. This left the boss afflicted with paralysis and bleed which caused the boss to die.

The two of them stood staring at each other with the boss's corpse at their side. The rich guy who was standing at the corner was awestruck as well as terrified at abilities of the two in front of him.

"I am Randall of Astora, its a pleasure meeting you." said the chosen undead.

"Sung Jin-Woo"

"And how are you" he said while gesturing toward the rich guy.

"I am Yoo Jin-Ho" said the rich guy hesitantly.

"Do any of you two know how to return to the start of this dungeon? I am in desperate need of healing items."

"Are you injured?"

"No but I like to have a few flask at my disposal for emergencies."

Both of them were confused as they didn't knew what a healing flask was. But before any of the two could ask him about it the entrance to the room open by an explosion and the group of 8 who left them to die entered.

"They are not dead?" Said the leader. He then noticed the chosen undead and said while pointing with his sword "Who are you?" but Randall didn't respond. He looked at the other two hunters he left to be killed by the boss and thought "There is no way they could defeat the boss on their own, it must be this guy. But how strong is he? We might need to gang up on him. So lets finish those two quickly first."

"Dong-Suk, what should we do?" the mage asked the leader.

"We have to take care of the weak ones first."

The mage then blasted both of them with his magic leaving the chosen undead standing at the side with his shield up. Then all the rest of them jumped at him. A guy swung his long sword at him but Randall blocked that downwards cut and countered with the thrust of his rapier to the face. The guy didn't die but was seriously injured and hence was out of the fight.

The 2nd guy thrusted his a short sword at Randall's side and managed  to hurt him but Randall immediately countered with a thrust to the chest and then another one at the face. Then Randall was blasted by the mage.

The shield absorbed most of the attack but that attack left him with very little health. Randall knew he wouldn't be able to win against all of them but he didn't want to loss all the souls he collect. As he was trying to find a way of escape two more guys started attacking him. Both the attackers swung their blades at Randall continuously not giving Randall any chance to recover his stamina.

Just as Randall thought it was over a scream could be heard from the mage. Sung Jin-Woo survived the blast and then killed the mage. This distracted Randall's attackers giving him the moment he needed to recover his stamina and then he thrusted his rapier to one of the guys neck. The second guy dodged Randall's attack to the head and countered with his own thrust. Randall and that guy exchanged few hit after which Randall came out victorious.

While Randall was fighting those two Sung Jin-Woo killed everyone else remaining including the injured ones on the floor. The rich guy survived to blast too because of his shield and armor but was injured.

"The boss was defeated, the dungeon is closing. Let's leave quickly." said Sung Jin-Woo and then they left.
