The inside of the S-rank gate was a gigantic hallway which makes sense considering giants came out of that gate. As they were walking deep inside the dungeon a laugh could be heard. Jinwoo noticed it but Randall didn't until later.

"Is he suppose to be the boss? Why is he chained up?" said Randall when he saw the Giant in chains laughing.

"Hilarious. Hilarious! Oh, you detestable rulers! Witness who has found me first!

Welcome, Monarch. The chains... Free me from these chains. I know what the rulers are planning. The other monarchs must know, quickly...

You...You are not the one I know." said the Giant as he looked at Jinwoo.

"Who are these 'RULERS' you speak of? And how do you know him?" asked Randall.

"Rulers are ancient enemies of the monarchs. The power he possesses is also that of a monarch." said the Giant to Randall.

Randall looked at Jinwoo and Jinwoo confirmed the Giant's words with a nod.

"All monarchs and rulers most likely have you on their sights. As you are now, you do not possess the strength to face them all. You require support. Release me from my seal. I will help you." said the Giant to Jinwoo.

"You'll help me? You, a monster, will help me, a human? Do you really expect me to believe that?"

"Then, I shall make you believe me." said the Giant and then started chanting a mantra.

Randall prepared to use his spells but Jinwoo stopped him.

"What was that? What did you do?" said Randall to the Giant who remain silent as if Randall was not important at the moment. This angered Randall.

"Yes." said Jinwoo.

"Release me from my seal. I will help you." said the Giant.

"Right... I completely believe y--" said Jinwoo but he could finish his sentence.

"Yes, That is the power of the pledge of honesty. The curse prevents you from lying." said the Giant.

Jinwoo then looked at Randall and said "I am flying."

"So this curse only works between the two of you." said Randall.

"The 'Pledge of Honesty' is between the initiator and acceptor, it doesn't effect conversations with anyone else." said the Giant.

"I see. But more importantly... Why is it possible to freely converse with you, unlike other monsters?" said Jinwoo.

"Monsters?"

"The monsters that come out of the gates."

"AAH... You mean the denizens of the chaos world.

Well, I also have a question. How could you even think of placing mere denizens of the chaos world on the same pedestal as the monarchs who rule over them?

All the denizens of the chaos world that emerge from the gates are remnants of defeated armies. Those who have been captured after losing to the armies of rulers. They have been leashed for a painstakingly long amount of time, so it's only natural that their egos have been deteriorated. However, I am a king. Unlike them, I have retained my sanity. I have been patiently waiting for the fated day when i can escape from their grasps. And now, here we are, you and me."

"When you said the armies of rulers, do you mean the ones clad in silver armor, with wings on their backs?"

"Correct. They are the soldiers of the rulers."

"Why do those damn rulers keep sending those monsters... Those creatures at us?"

"They are preparing for war. They intend to transform this world into a battlefield, and fight the monarchs once again."

"I don't quite follow... sending those monster turns earth into a battlefield?"

"It's simple. It's all to inject magical energy into the world. There is no better way to propagate this power than using the blood of those who possess power. So, the rulers decided to use their captives. The density of magical energy grows by the day. That is the fruit cultivated from the blood of the monsters.

Magical energy empowers the world. Their plan is to create a world strong enough to withstand the effects of war."

"You said you will help him, How are you planning to do that?" said Randall.

"I will help you fight the monarchs."

"And what if the fight happened in a city."

"... I will do my best to minimize the damage."

"Ask him. I have a feeling his is lying." said Randall to Jinwoo.

"You said you are on my side, those that mean you are on humanity's side?" said Jinwoo.

"..."

"Why won't you answer? Is it because of the pledge of honesty?"

The Giant remained silent until he suddenly launched forward in a attempt to bite Jinwoo but the chains stopped him.

"Let me do it. You can take the kill but it want to do the damage." said Randall.

"Just keep him alive." said Jinwoo.

Randall then fired every spell he had doing a lot of damage to his face. Because The Ring of the Grim Reaper, Randall gained a lot of souls without killing him. Also the Giant's durability kept reducing the more souls Randall gain, as if Randall was robbing his magical power from him.

5 minutes later, the Giant is barely alive. His face is unrecognizable and his body is also in very bad shape. His won't survive for another day as he is now.

Jinwoo then stood in front of him holding his Blade. The Giant gathered the strength to speak as he knew that was the end.

"I hope... everything that you two wish to protect will burn into ashes in the conflagration of the war..."

"That won't happen." said Jinwoo and then sliced his head off. The blade barely felt any resistance as if it cut a D-rank monster and not a Monarch.

"It's a shame he couldn't become my shadow solder." said Jinwoo as he left the dungeon with Randall.
