Chapter 8: End of Red gate

The shadow army was winning the battle if not for the elf king so Jinwoo, Randall and Igris kept him busy fighting them. The elf king was having a hard time defending against both Jinwoo and Igris while avoiding Randall's spells. The trio were on the offensive and the elf king was starting to get overwhelmed. When the elf king focused on Jinwoo and Igris then a soul arrow would hit him, when he focused on dodging the spells Jinwoo would get a stab or a slash in.

Randall's spells were so annoying to deal with that the elf king decided to rushing him, a very risky move when there are 2 more attackers in front of you. As he was running towards Randall Igris slashed his sword at his neck which was blocked by him but then his arm got cut off by a dagger Jinwoo launched using Dominator's Touch. Before he could process what just happened 5 soul sphere hit him behind the head followed by a stab to the chest by Igris.

Even after losing an arm, being hit by multiple soul arrows and soul sphere, and being stabbed through the chest the elf king grabbed Igris's head and squished hard enough to destroy it. But Igris being a shadow regrew it instantly and the Jinwoo finished him by stabbing at the back of the head.

"Let's go back" said Jinwoo.

"Go back?" said a C rank.

"Outside the gate." said Jinwoo gesturing toward the gate that opened.

"We can finally go home!" and with that they started celebrating.

"What do we do with him?" Randall asked Jinwoo while pointing at the unconscious A rank hunter.

"I think he will make a good shadow solder."

"The RED GATE is opening!"

"The dungeon has been cleared!"

"People... People are coming out!"

The survivors exited the gate in tears followed by Jinwoo and the Randall. They then started questioning the survivors about the gate. But Jinwoo and Randall didn't intended to answer any of them.

"Hold it. Let's talk for a bit." said Baek Yoon-Ho, the guild master of white tiger while holding Randall by the shoulder.

"What do you want to know?"

"How did you enter the red gate?"

"I used an item."

"Please tell me more about this item."

"Are you coming?" Jinwoo asked Randall from the backseat of the car.

"I have to go. I will tell you more if we meet again." Randall said to Yoon-Ho and then proceeded to leave but was stopped.

"We have lost nine guild members from this incident. As the master, shouldn't i be allowed to ask some questions?" said Yoon-Ho in a threatening tone.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" said Randall as he equipped his Tin Crystallization Catalyst, the item drop from the Elf king.

"I was being too difficult. I apologize." said Yoon-Ho as he removed his hand from Randall's shoulder.

Randall then left with Jinwoo, Jinho and the kid.

"Miss Park Hee-Jin."

"Yes?"

"Who is he? And why is he so irritated?"

"His name is Randall. I'm not sure why but a few days earlier his seemed really upset so I asked him, he said something about reaching his level cap. Ever since then he became irritable."

"Ahn Sangmin, I want you to recruit him. Hurry it up. Now."

"I will do my best."

"That's not enough. I will give you my complete support. Bring that man over to our guild at all cost."

"Understood."
