Chapter 13: S-ranked gate

Jinwoo woke up in a hospital 3 days later.

After having an emotional moment with his friends and family, and learning about the barrier failing to contain the S-rank gate Jinho told him about a message from Randall.

"From what I know Randall went to Japan to help with the Dungeon break right after he received the news of the barrier failing. He also sent a message for you through me."

"What is the message?"

"I prepared few giant corpses for you to use. Come before they rot." said Randall through a voice mail.

Jinwoo smiled after hearing that.

"Tell him I will be joining soon." said Jinwoo as he left.

News,

"Are you seeing this! The konea's 11th S-rank hunter is on a killing spree. Out of the 7 giants killed since the break 5 of them are his doing."

"It looks like we humanity still has a chance. Looks at that clever use of stealth to safely get close to those giants and then blasting their leg off with magic. This hit and run tactic is incredibly effective as a mage as they can cause a lot of damage really quickly but extremally difficult as they move much slower then a fighter."

"But that doesn't seem to be a problem for him as he has such a vast verity of spells. Invisibility, noise cancelation, healing, high damage spells, and even teleportation if he gets caught in the giant's blind attacks. He is the most flexible mage I have ever seen."

"I am sure all the giants will be gone by the end of the week but I am still worried about the big one."

7th day after the Dungeon Break.

"I want one of you summons as my ride." said Randall to Jinwoo.

"Will one of my bears work?"

"No, I want something fast. How about that ant?"

"He is not a house."

"I am not heavy, he is fast and he can fly. He is a perfect fit to be my mount."

"Fine."

After that both of them were ready to fight the biggest Giant standing near the Gate.

Jinwoo commanded his shadow army to attack. The shadow army was so massive that the entire battle field turned black. After the shadow army reached withing 500 meters of that Giant, it launched itself towards the army cutting through them. It was strong, fast, and had high defense.

Non of the attacks launched by the solders did any damage to it. However both Randall and Jinwoo noticed it was every protective about it's head.

"Ok that enough I am going." said Randall and flew toward the Giant on Beru's back.

Randall used Hidden Body and Hush on both himself and his ride. They made their way close to the Giant's face without it noticing them, and the used Crystal Soul Spear at the Giant's eye.

The Giant couldn't react in time to the spell and lost his right eye. It was in pain but noticed another spell coming towards its other eye and reacted swiftly by blocking it with his palm. The spell wasn't strong enough to penetrate the Giant's skin.

"Wait until he get distracted again. Once I take his vision fighting it should be easy." said Randall to the ant because he knew Jinwoo was listening.

Sure enough, the giant soon got busy fighting the shadow army giving Randall the opportunity he needed. One Crystal Soul Spear later the Giant could no longer see giving the shadow army the opportunity to close the distance. The ants climbed there way to the Giants now missing eyes, mouth, nose, ears; then proceeds to eat it inside out. The Giant was helpless against the numbers and died a painful death.

"I am going inside that gate. Are you coming?" said Randall to Jinwoo as they stood facing the Giant's corpse.

"I am curious about how an S-rank dungeon looks from inside."

"Lets go then." said Randall as he started walking towards the gate and Jinwoo followed soon after.

"Where are they going?" said Jinho seeing the two leave right before he reached them.
