Chapter 18: War

"Your soldier are strong but they can be stronger if they just don't brawl." said Randall.

"So what do you suggest?" said Jinwoo.

"I suggest you let Igris teach the others. He know how to dodge and block enemy attacks, he also has good form in his attacks which allows him to deal higher damage. And he has experience dealing with threats of all sizes."

"But what about the ones who don't use a sword?"

"We might have to get creative with them."

"I understand." said Jinwoo and then he gestured Igris which he understood and began training the lower ranking shadows.

While they were training Jinwoo was informing the world about the war that's about to happen. Most of them listened but others dismissed it.

Few days later, Jinwoo and Randall entered China to fight the army of the monarchs but it ended up being a decoy. The monarchs concentrated their forces and marched them through the Gate in Canada.

After Jinwoo realized the situation he left his army to Randall as he was the better strategist of the two and then left alone to prepare. Randall then took that army and left for Canada.

Randall used Thomas Anderson as bait to lure the Iron body monarch out and then isolated him. After that it was just a matter of time before Randall killed him. Jinwoo on the other hand was building a new army from the corpses of the Dragon monarch's army. He was successful enough to gain Dragon monarch's attention and soon they made contact.

The army Jinwoo had build so far was wiped away by the Dragon monarch in a single attack. Jinwoo then attempted to escape using a gate but Dragon monarch followed him through the gate. As they stood in front of the Iron body monarch's body turning to dust and him army now turned into the Shadow monarch's army the Dragon monarch noticed Randall.

The Dragon monarch ignored everything else and walked closer to Randall.

"You have the energy of monarchs inside you. Who did you manage to absorb such power?" said the Dragon Monarch to Randall.

"I simply absorbed there souls to strengthen myself." said Randall.

"Can you teach me that method. In return I will provide you with anything you desire."

Before Randall could respond Jinwoo canceled is summons and attacked the Dragon monarch but failed to do any damage. Randall then noticed the monarch of Transfiguration opening gates to bring more dragons so he attacked him with a Crystal Soul Spear. That spell alone was enough to kill him resulting in the gates closing which killed any dragons half-way through.

"You are strong. So I will give you a final chance to accept my offer." said the Dragon monarch to Randall.

Randall then used Dark Fog blocking the Dragon monarch's vision. Jinwoo took that opportunity to teleport all of them to a unhabituated Island.

"I will take that as your refusal." said the Dragon monarch as he transformed in a massive dragon.

Randall and Jinwoo then fought him. Jinwoo's attacks were not strong enough to hurt the Dragon monarch but Randall could. Through out the fight Randall kept damaging the Dragon monarch's scales which allowed Jinwoo to inflict some damage of his own.

As the fight went on the Dragon monarch got weaker. It looked like the Dragon monarch would loss but then Randall got caught inside the Dragon monarch's fire.

Randall then opened his eyes near the place where he killed the Iron Body monarch. It was impossible for him to join his the fight a help his friend now, so he started hunting the monsters left in that area.

'It's all in your hands now.' thought Randall as he was about to slaughter all the monsters in that area.
