CHAPTER 16 - "HE’S BACK”

 

 

Magkasama kaming pumasok ni Ken sa school and he was holding my hand... Marami yung nakatingin sa amin. Siyempre naman sinong hindi magugulat? The school’s B*tch (well more like the former b*tch ;]) is with the hottest, smartest, well respected and most good-looking guy in the campus.

“Bakit sila nakatingin?”

“oh, you know why Ken.”

“I don’t. Bakit nga?” Seryoso ba ‘tong taong ito? Hindi niya alam?

“Come on Ken. I don’t have to elaborate.”

“What? Let me understand. Enlighten me.” I rolled my eyes. Ayoko kasing sabihin pa, pero mukhang manhid talaga to.

“Nagugulat sila kasi kasama kita.”

“At bakit naman sila magugulat?” Arrgh.

“kasi nga YOU are YOU and well YOU are with me...”

“eh, ano naman ngayon kung I’m with you? Is there a problem?”

“Ken, alam mo naman yung status ko sa school na to diba?” heck, you even called me one. (well, at least the thought of what you said.)

“Status? That you are the most beautiful girl in the campus? That status?” napahinto ako sa paglalakad at tumingin sa kanya. I can’t help it, I just smiled. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter to him kung ano man yung tingin sa akin ng ibang tao. “Gab, stop thinking like that, I know now that you are not the person they thought you are.” I nodded. Pumunta na kami agad sa classroom namin.

“Oh? Magkasama kayo? Dude? Kayo na ba ni Gabby?”

“Tumahimik ka nga Fred!” nung sinabi ni Ken yun, halata mong nagblush siya. HA-HA! Kinikilig din pala to!

“nagtatanong lang naman eh! So kayo na ba?” ang kulit din nitong si Freddie eh noh? Pero, Fred, asarin mo pa! ang cute niyang kiligin eh! HA-HA!

“hindi...pa...” O.o Holy Sh*t. ako naman yata yung nanlamig bigla.

“Nice. So, Gabby, kailan mo planong sagutin ‘tong kaibigan ko?” inakbayan naman niya ako at inilayo kay Ken.

“aah-eeh...” di ko namalayan na lumapit sa amin si Ken at tinangal niya yung kamay ni Fred.

“DUDE! HANDS OFF!”

 

“whoa, okay dude.” Natawa naman ako sa kanya. Naku seloso to masyado.

Nagdiscuss nalang kami. More of the boring stuff of course. Right after our class lumabas na kami. Nagpaalam nalang ako kay Ken kasi magkaiba yung classes namin. Noong naglalakad ako sa hallway, napahinto ako. He’s back.

“Gab.” He’s messed up. What happened to him?

“Nate?” lumapit siya sa akin then niyakap niya ako bigla.

“I miss you so much babe. Please take me back?”

“I’m sorry Nate, it doesn’t work that way. I don’t feel anything for you.” Humiwalay ako sa pagkayakap niya sa akin.

“But I love you.” He does?

“No you don’t Nate. Your feelings for me is just an effect of the pressure everyone is pushing that it would be better that we’ll be together.”

“It’s not that Gab. My feelings for you is real, I realized that when you left.”

“After we broke up, you didn’t show yourself. What happened?” im really curious, bigla nalang nawala si Nate. I didn’t saw him after.

Dinala ko siya sa gilid para hindi kami makakuha ng atensyon but its too late for that. Marami na ang nakakita. But I don’t care kung ano man ang sabihin nila, Nate is still my friend.

 

 

“I tried to stop going to school. I mean, what for? Masasaktan lang ako tuwing nakikita kita. And my dad, he is pressuring me to do stuff I don’t want, ang hirap Gab. And if I can’t have you back Gab, I will loose it.”

“Please don’t do this to yourself Nate.”

 

 

“I’m sorry Gab, please forgive me.”

“You don’t have to apologize for what happened before Nate. But please pull yourself together I will help you.”

“You will?” umiiyak na si Nate. Alam mo talagang mahirap ang pinagdaanan niya. I cant afford to see him like this. Nilapit ko siya sa akin at pina-lean ko siya sa balikat ko. Umiyak lang siya doon. Nag absent nalang ako sa class ko. Mas kailangan ako ni Nate ngayon.
