“the doctor said I was gonna be okay...”
“I think that’s good news Gab.”
“yeah, I think it is...”
“Why sound so sad?”
“It’s just that, you know how I love my life now, Alex... I don’t want this to end just yet. I want to have a family.”
“You will Gab, you will.”
“Thanks Alex...”
“So? What are you up to?”
“Oh, nothing much, nagbabasa lang.”
“What are you reading?”
“Mga story ni Jessica Concha...”
“Ooooh, the online stories... I’ve heard they’re good...”
“Yes, they are. I should send you the link, you should try to read one.”
“Yeah, sure thing!”
“Hey, Alex, I have to go. I have to start with this new story. Laters!”
“Laters!”
I hanged up and continued reading. I’m reading Hundred in One, it’s really good.
“Hey, Gabby, honey?”
“Yes, mom?” pumasok si mommy sa kwarto ko. She saw me on my laptop.
“Have you drunk your medicines yet? I’m really worried.”
“Yes, mom. I did, so don’t worry too much okay?”
“Anong ginagawa mo?”
“Reading some stuff...”
“Oh okay, yang mata mo ha? Baka masira.”
“No mom, its okay. I can handle it.” She nodded and went out of my room.
Reading stories or books is my ticket way out of this bitter reality, which is my life. I’m really happy with what I got now, no questions asked. But there is still that missing piece I want to fill.
Kahit na isipin ng iba na I’m a b*tch. I still want to be in love, not just ‘like’, I want to be in love with someone and he’ll love me back. Just like in the stories I read. Pero ang hirap makakita ng matinong lalaki na would really say... “I love you and I want to spend my lifetime with you.” I know I’m hopeless romantic but that’s what I want. Hell, that’s what every girl wants. But guys are MOSTLY jerks these days. But I think Ken is an exemption.
Wow, I never thought I would really like this guy. Am I really falling for him? Kapag ba nahulog na ako ng tuluyan sa kanya, mali ba yun? Masasaktan ba ako? Masasaktan ba siya? Ayoko ng ganoon, pero... paano ko malalaman kung hindi ko susubukan?
Napaisip naman ako, bakit ngayon ko lang siya nilapitan? After being classmates since we’ve started college, bakit ngayon lang? Hindi ko rin alam, baka itinadhana talaga na maglapit kami ngayon. Kinakabahan lang ako, baka may mangyayaring masama.
