Back at Boatem, Grian finds himself approached by Pearl and Impulse before he can get engrossed in his build.

"Hey Grian, before you left with Xisuma, you promised to give us a clue to start from. Is that still valid, or..."

Ah, he'd forgotten about that. "No, it's still valid. I'm guessing this is being treated as a server wide scavenger hunt?" They look a bit sheepish but nod anyway. "Then I'll actually need to put out clues to be found. Believe it or not, I'm pretty good at keeping secrets so long as they're important enough to keep. If I think of it like setting up a massive chain of hints to follow, this should be pretty fun! Give me a minute to think of what I should put first."

Wandering a little ways away from the two of them, Grian started brainstorming his first clue. He was careful not to muse out loud, since Impulse and Pearl had subtly inched closer when they thought he wasn't looking. So, what were his options?

It would have to be subtle, something that could fit together when paired with more context but made no sense without it. They had heard Xisuma ask about his magic knowledge and abnormal speed, plus he had mentioned the magic items on Hypixel even if they didn't know what they were. If any of them managed to find the feather that would end up very quickly giving him away, so then what?

He hasn't had the opportunity to place any hidden locations yet, so he can't use that as the clue. Speaking of hidden locations, maybe he should make a pseudo redstone machine that operates on magic instead, lock something inside and make them try to open it. And if they claim it's unopenable, he can just walk up, press a couple buttons, and open it with magic.

But back to right now, he still needs something to give them. Could he just use magic to float a little above the ground? Nah, too simple. Maybe he could mimic one of their voices, throw them off while getting a funny reaction too. Theoretically Galactic wasn't unlearnable as a written script, what with the enchantments being written in it, but that would be best left for the hidden puzzles. Yeah, let's go with voice mimicry, it'll be funny.

Turning back to Impulse and Pearl, they both did their best to pretend they hadn't just been creeping closer to try to figure out what he was doing. He can't blame them, knowing he would have done the same. "You two ready for your clue?" An evil grin threatened to spread across his face as they nodded eagerly, Impulse even pulling out a book and quill to record whatever he said.

Taking a deep breath, he pitched his voice to mimic Iskall's, speaking the most Iskall line he could think of. "Hallo, I'm Iskall, and I hate diorite. Behold my omega alley of doom!" Wow, that felt weird to say. How did they react?

Impulse and Pearl were both looking very confused, Impulse having even forgotten to write anything down. Several times they would go to say something, then stop, seemingly unsure what to say. Finally, Impulse managed to speak.

"Since when could you mimic Iskall's voice like that? If I couldn't see you right in front of me, I'd think I was hearing him speak, not you."

Back to his normal voice, Grian laughed. "Telling more would be spoiling my own lore, you're gonna have to find the rest just like everyone else. Calling my alley 'omega' and 'of doom' really does feel weird, though. If you want I can repeat it for a recording so you can prove to the others that you're not going crazy."

"Yeah, that would probably be for the best."

He repeated himself once they were recording, and sent them off to go theorize with the others. "I'm gonna go set up lore puzzles, but there's no point if I'm being followed, so off you go. Are you guys still an unorganized grouping, or do you have a name I can call you when you're hunting for clues?"
