Grian climbed higher into the air, glancing back to see the boat back out on open waters and heading East. Sighing in relief, he headed towards warmer climates. Exiting the smp area required either respawning or sitting on a bed for a bit, and he certainly had his opinions on using respawn as a way to leave. Maybe he can find an unattended sheep farm no one will notice a couple pieces of missing wool from.
That search eats up several hours, to the point where he began considering going mining and getting his own set of shears to shear wild sheep with. Everywhere that has penned sheep also has people nearby, and when there are no people, then there's no sheep either. It's fine. This is fine. Maybe he could just be extra sneaky? It wouldn't be him, it would be the man in the chicken costume. That should work, right?
Objective revised, Grian magic-ed himself up a chicken mask before locating the nearest sheep farm to raid.
Now, you might be wondering why he did not just magic up a bed if he was going to do this, but he actually thought this out for once. Changing the shape of something with magic would leave only a little bit of magic residue on it that would only be noticeable to those with extremely strong senses, and only for a short time too. Creating something directly from magic was different. This wouldn't be a case of only Sherlock himself finding something slightly off. It would be incredibly obvious to anyone with the capability to sense magic that the object was in no way normal, what with how heavily saturated with magic it would be.

He had his plan.
In and out, no problem, right?
The angry swarm of players currently chasing him said that that was not, in fact, the case.
What went wrong?
Well perhaps his first mistake was going to the first sheep farm he could find instead of the emptiest farm. His second mistake was not using invisibility, despite the amount of people he could feel milling about in the base. The final mistake, and the one that most directly led to this situation, would be his curiosity getting the better of him as he started "browsing" through the various chests. They wouldn't mind, right?
They did, in fact, mind.
Back to the situation at hand. What seemed to be almost the entire base's population was currently chasing him through the halls with assorted pointy things. The only reason he hadn't been caught yet was being able to sense when they had an ambush up ahead, but he was running out of ways to go "up" as more and more tunnels were blockaded by the players. Maybe he could find a way to break line-of-sight and teleport? Not the cleanest escape, but better than getting caught.
Another infrastructure bit was coming up ahead. As long as he didn't touch any of the redstone, that would be a good way to get out of sight for a moment. Here goes nothing.
Grian leaned to the side, redirecting his momentum to send himself rocketing towards the nearest farm, which just so happened to be for sugarcane. He beelined for the hopper collection system, swinging himself in to sit in one of the carts as it rattled past. Looking back, he caught the momentary hesitance on the faces of his pursuers before having to duck to avoid getting brained by a block.
They were out of sight. Good.
Moving his magic carefully, Grian momentarily connected here to there and found himself on the surface. With the minecart. Whoops. He tried his best to scrub the magic signature off the now misplaced minecart before taking off with his ill-gotten goods consisting of... three pieces of undyed wool. He should have just killed a couple wild sheep and been done with it.
Either way, what was done was done, and he had the wool for a bed now. A couple of punched trees later, and he now was the proud possessor of a single white bed. Digging a hole in the ground, Grian vanished his chicken mask back into the magic that formed it while sitting on his newly placed bed. A minute of down-time later, he got the prompt to leave the smp lands. Finally.
Opening his eyes revealed the sight of Hypixel's hub, the massive logo stretching across the sky. He stretched, feeling tired from how busy today had been. Wonder if Xisuma recovered from his stunned state before someone came around? Maybe he could ask when he got back.
Turning, Grian left Hypixel, leaving almost no signs of his presence other than a certain faction's new strangely shiny minecart.
