Much like the prank war, this is covering the Demise game started near the end of S6. Not really Watcher related, but I just don't want to have a massive unexplained timeskip.
This will be fairly rapidly shifting between episodes, with the more prominent/funny events being mentioned.

The server has been quiet for the last couple of weeks. Apart from the Hot Potato going around, nothing big has really been happening lately.
Grian has decided it's about time to fix that.
Flying over HermitLand, he spots a small open area that hasn't been claimed or built on yet and glides in for a landing. He has an idea for a new event he could start, one that will hopefully involve most of the server's occupants. This, is Demise.
Participating hermits will have to keep themselves alive at all costs, but should they die, they're then on the dead team. Dead team gets the job of "assisting" their friends on the alive side of things in joining them. The last one alive by the end of it gets to take home the prize: all the sign-up diamonds.
Making a roughly hand shaped structure, he sets up the sign-up sheet with the rules and start date next to them. All that's left is to wait and see how many of the other hermits sign up...

The time has come. Demise has started, and checking on the list, eighteen people have joined in total. That was honestly more people than he had expected, but this just means more fun and more chaos.
Should he start bets on who will die first? With no diamond armor allowed, it's not that hard to die from even the slightest fall. Maybe Scar will be first, with how often he dies, but at this time it's anyone's game.
On a somewhat related note, a totem shop had opened up just next door to Demise, and was quite popular right now. He should probably go get one of those himself while he's here.
How long until the first death? Noone knows, but probably not too long.
Perhaps investing some time in a secret bunker would be a good idea.

It's been a couple of days now, but none of the hermits had died yet. What could he do to... encourage, a bit of risk-taking? Some kind of challenge maybe? One that is technically possible, but could also easily result in death if you're not careful.
Probably best to put it close to the Demise board, location-wise. He ended up making a couple of different challenges, risking his own demise to make sure they were all possible. There's a lava tunnel to fly through, Catch the Totem, playing chicken with the void, and a flooded glass container. Just a little terrifying to test without knowing if it was feasible, and perhaps something he should have tested somewhere else instead.
It didn't take long before he got his first "customer", Renthedog. Ren was apparently a bit low on diamonds from spending on Demise and Sahara Now, so the temptation of an entire fifty diamonds was too much to resist. Unfortunately for him, he pushed his luck a bit too far, dying right after completing his second challenge.
Looking at the monotone Ren, Grian silently questions whether this was a good idea. Anyone who dies to his minigame is going to be out for his blood, and making that many enemies this soon was... unwise, to say the least. The claim of "no hard feelings" did little to soothe this worry, but another customer had asked to play his little game of dares.
Stressmonster101 showed up, apparently also suffering from an empty wallet, and pulled the aquarium first. She then proceeded to complete it the wrong way, swimming up despite the bubble-vater pulling her down and breaking the ice to get out. Did the server forget how to physics? Is there still a Void Bug somewhere? Why didn't it work this way for him then?
