Making one last adjustment to the massive mound of stolen blankets, Grian nods approvingly, standing on the thick carpet covering the floor of the hidden room that'll serve as a napping corner.

He's... not exactly the best at maintaining a stable sleep schedule, since he doesn't actually get tired or anything. It's not like he doesn't try, but it's all too easy to forget or say he'll sleep later, and he hadn't realized just how many times 'later' got pushed back until Gem and Cleo confronted him and asked how much sleep he'd gotten lately.

Apparently he took too long thinking, or maybe he looked a bit too surprised when he realized how long he'd put off sleeping, but the two of them had threatened his kneecaps and his head, telling him to go sleep or else. He's kinda out of options at this point.

It's not like he doesn't have a genuine reason for constantly putting it off. Sleep is a state of extreme vulnerability, and without the biological need to put himself in that state, he's more than a little reluctant to make himself so easily stabable.

Normally, his solution to this reluctance is to make some nice, secure rooms where he can sleep without worrying about a stray mob or bloodthirsty Hermit finding him. Sure, people are usually kind enough to let each other sleep, but that's not a guarantee. Waking up to getting stabbed is not a fun wakeup call.

He kinda just never got around to setting up one of these rooms yet, since his base was just a big hollow rock and he didn't have a good spot for it. It's done now though, and he can get himself a nice nap.

Crawling into the giant pile of blankets, he adjusts a few to make the little hollow area in the middle more stable, then flops down and sighs. As always, stolen blankets are the comfiest.

Without the actual need to sleep, he needs to manually set his mind into the pattern of sleep, and he closes his eyes, drifting off into a light doze as his breathing evens out. He'll get up in a few hours, once people haven't seen him for long enough to know that he went to sleep.

The faint sound of firework rockets makes his ear twitch, and he returns to wakefulness to listen to the sound and decide whether it's worth leaving his nest of blankets for.

"Helloooo? Grian?" Oh great, it's Scar. Most of the others can be relied on to leave if they see him trying to sleep, but Scar might just choose to do something he could never in a million years have anticipated. "Are you here? Huh, I could have sworn you were in here. We might have to go find someone else for this one."

Since Grian is quite comfortable right now, and does actually want to continue sleeping, he ignores Scar and waits for him to go away.

Unfortunately, it doesn't take Scar long to find the little room behind Grumbot, musing, "Oh? I haven't seen this room before. Now what could be-"

He feels Scar's gaze land on a couple feathers sticking out from within the mound of blankets, but he doesn't react. Hopefully Scar will see that he's trying to sleep and leave.

Scar does not leave. In fact, Scar starts tiptoeing closer, whispering to the camera and urging it to be quiet.

"Welcome, boys and girls, to the first and possibly last episode of 'Hermits in the Wild'! If you look upon the strange structure before us you'll see that we have... a sleeping Grian!" His excitement at being able to show his viewers this rare phenomenon is clear to hear. "This is a rare sight on the Hermitcraft server, as the elusive sleepy bird is found only in little hidden rooms such as this, hidden beneath the unnecessary amount of stolen blankets that make up its nest."

And now he's acting like he's filming a nature documentary. Great.

"We must be careful not to wake the sleeping Grian, lest we find ourselves victims of the local vigilante, Poultry Man." Bit late for that one. Now go away and let him sleep. "But no risk is too great to dissuade the intrepid reporter from recording this rare moment. Simply getting this close risks waking the sleeping Grian from its slumber, but such is the burden of the reporter."
